As reported, Shan was alleged to have slept with about four band members of Tee Mac, who we learnt were young guys, during the FIFA World Cup held in South Africa in 2010.

She reportedly gave the excuse of cold weather as the reason of having s*x with the boys. The report further claimed that Tee Mac was fully aware of Shan's under 'G' runs with his boys she (Shan) allegedly slept with but he choose to keep quite.

 It was further reported that about two months ago, Shan was suppose to make a trip to the just concluded London Olympics, where she was reportedly supposed to be among some Nigerian celebs to meet with Team Nigeria, but Tee Mac reportedly influenced the light-skinned actress being dropped when probably forsaw that Shan would use the opportunity to concluded her mission with his son, who was reported to make the trip.

 He (Tee Mac) then reportedly warned the Shan George to stay off his son or face his wrath. Shan has reportedly dated some younger lovers in the past who are mostly in their 20's.

 Newsmen called Shan George (on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at about 5:15pm) on phone to get her side of this story, but a female voice, which sounded like hers (Shan), told us that the actress was busy and was not available to speak to us.

The person, who answered her call, didn't wait to hear why we called immediately we mentioned . When we asked at what time Shan would be less busy or available to talk to us so that we can know when to call back, we were told that it is not certain Shan would be free anytime soon.

 We later called her number (0802) back at about 2:47pm on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, but the same voice believed to be Shan's told us that she (Shan) travelled to Abuja but dropped her phone at home in Lagos.

Nollywood Actress Shan George React To Rumor About Her And John Mikel Obi

Mikel & Shan George
Shan George knows she is cannon for controversies and is unapologetic about it. Recently, she was quoted to have said that most married Nollywood actresses are not faithful to their husbands, that they keep numerous lovers. that allegation was said to have rankled a number of her colleagues who felt scandalized by such revelations.

 The mother of two boys said that offensive article misrepresented her statement and was motivated by the writer’s desire to cause unnecessary friction between her and her colleagues in the industry. “That was such a low blow. Why should it be my problem to know – not to talk about other people’s marriages and what they are doing or not doing?

It is not my nature to make such judgment calls and most of my colleagues knew the writer of that piece was motivated by hate and not by the desire to help build the industry and the bond of friendship that exist in Nollywood.

 If you had attended my premier, you would have seen that almost everyone who is somebody in the industry showed up. Would they have done so, if they thought I was a loose cannon or that I take delight in disparaging other people? No, they would never have done so!

 I forgive the guy who wrote that offensive piece.” Shan also used the opportunity to condemn in a strong term the recent news that circulated online that she was photograph n*de. “I am really disappointed by the level of ignorance of some people in today’s world.

 I mean who low can they get. I went out with some friends of mine to mark my birthday and we were all dressed in swim suit-bikinis. There was no indecent exposure – we were just having fun.

The pictures are all on the net. Yet someone after seeing the pictures – went and wrote that I was photographed nude. Can you imagine that? I can’t imagine if the writer cannot recognize someone wearing a swimming trunk and a naked picture.

It is very annoying. I have morals and I would never pose nude – not for a million dollars. You know what I have come to see that in this industry: there are some people who are haters and instead of applauding your efforts, would rather take delight in painting you in colors that do not represent who you are.

 But I am glad that the majority of my fans worldwide know who I am.” Recently too, a picture of Shan was posted on line where she was seen seemingly cavorting with the top Chelsea soccer star, Mikel Obi, leading to the speculation that she and Mikel wee dating. When asked, Shan was incredulous “This is really getting crazy. So I can’t even have a drink with someone – just innocently, without being linked romantically with the person?

 Mikel Obi is at a talented soccer player whose skills I appreciate. I am his big fan and when they won the Champions Cup last May, I was over the moon with excitement for him and his team mates.

We met and had a drink in Lagos recently and that was that! Nothing romantic happened between us. I am not dating Mikel Obi and I hope some of these traffickers of lies can go have themselves some life.”

Today, Shan George, who has starred in over 100 flicks and still counting, has emerged as one of the most prominent faces that dominated the movie scene for most of the late 1990s and 2000s. But controversy seems to be her middle name.

 From allegedly describing actresses as prostitutes to staging an all girl bikini parties, and to serial marriages, the actress it would seem just can’t avoid controversies. Beyond that, light-complexioned Shan is also a hard working mother of two boys, and with over 20 movies to her production credits, Shan has surely come a long way. In a recent chat, Shan opens up on the scandals that have rocked her career and disclosed that these days, she no longer gives a hoot when negative stories are published about her;

 “I concentrate on my passion and don’t bother about what people say. If you are a TV personality and you don’t have people trying to scandalize your name then you haven’t even started. When they come after you, it means you’ve gone far so these days I have stopped worrying, I laugh with them,” she declares.

 Childhood Shan’s life’s story began decades ago when she was born at Ediba, Cross River State-Nigeria, to an English father from Manchester, England, and a Nigerian mother from the Niger Delta. Today, she has become a Nollywood icon radiating glitz and glamour with a strong fan base. Despite losing her dad at age five, she never felt his absence because in the typical African setting where she grew up, she had many uncles and aunties who stood in for her father.

 What was it like growing up under a protective mum? “My mum thought me humility and never to believe that I am too much and get carried away. She taught me to always be down to earth. Acting Shan hit Nollywood in 1996 after she got admission to study at University and with 16 years under her belt, Shan has seen and done it all, and remains very passionate about her career.

 According to the actress, some of the greatest challenges confronting Nollywood are the issues of financing, marketing and distribution. If there’s one challenge the Shan has learnt to live with, it’s the fact that she might never find her father or his family members. For years she has traveled to the UK and all attempts to trace her dad or family members have failed. Recounting the experience, Shan had this to say;

 “I tried looking for my dad to be sincere. I went to the company where he worked. I tried to look for his file but there were no records. The total sum of it is that I searched and searched but couldn’t get enough data to locate his family but I got enough to know that my dad was from Manchester and lived in Nigeria as an expatriate. At a point, I just gave up. But I know who my father was. I remember him with my five year-old eyes and mind. He died, he didn’t abandon my mum and I.”

Any regret about acting? “Not at all,” Shan says conclusively.

Shan George blasts Silverbird

Veteran Nollywood screen goddess, Shan George, is fuming and blowing hot. She is angry with president of Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, over his alleged comment that any movie not premiered at the Silverbird Galleria would not be shown in Silverbird Cinemas.

On Facebook, she recently complained about what Nollywood film producers go through to have their movie premiere at Silverbird Cinemas.

Although the actress has not premiered any movie at any of the Silverbird cinemas, sources say she was furious when friends told her about the stringent conditions before showcasing any Nollywood film at the upscale Silverbird cinemas.

According to George, “I don’t understand why Ben Bruce would rule that if you don’t premiere your movie at Silverbird Galleria, the movie would not be shown in Silverbird Cinemas. My question is, all the foreign movies being shown at Silverbird Cinemas, how many Hollywood producers did their premiere at the Silverbird Galleria?”

According to Nollywood sources, producers cough out N300,000 for use of the arterium on the galleria for red carpet and premiere of movies, while another N300,000 is paid to have the movie screened to the audience in one of the cinema halls. Even after this, the Ben Bruce organization still gets as much as 50 per cent of monies realized from showing the movie in Silverbird Cinemas.
