Popular Nollywood actress tagged crying baby has returned to her acting career after been relieved of her political appointment by Gov. Rochas Okorocha as the Special Assistant on Lagos Affairs for the Imo State Government.

 Her first feature movie after her long absence is titled "The Voice". The actress was  relieved following a cabinet dissolution which affected all commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants and special assistants in the cabinet.

I saw the press release and I am still laughing...laughing because you did the right thing by standing up to defend yourself but you used the wrong words and you focused on the wrong topic. The story there is as follows: ''When you see Nuella Njubigbo ride in her Toyota Highlander, please know that it is Rivers state tax payers money moving in action as it was a gift from Rivers Governor Rotimi Amaechi for all the love she has been showering on him since they met coincidentally through a desperate businessman looking from patronage from the Governor.

Bononline gathered that Nuella met Governor Amaechi when a Desperate Contractor who had heard several tales of Gov Amaechi sex orgy with Nollywood stars including being a major contributing factor to the collapse of the marriage of a Big Nollywood star who also fell apart from her friend who is a divorcee and has a record of being Nollywood serial lover who went behind her to sleep with the deep pocket Governor. The plan between the contractor and Nuella was for her to hook the Governor during the presentation and thereafter help convince the Governor to go on with deal, Plan A worked well as the Governor liked Nuella and they exchanged numbers but plan B completely failed as  Nuella just hooked on to the Governor and forgot the contractor, we learnt that part of the goodies Nuella had benefited from Gov Amaechi is her Toyota Highlander taken from the pool of cars which 

was supposed to be given to Government officials and she reportedly got 5m late November.

Twice she has also been on the Govt delegation Aboard.''

I will tender my apology at the end of this memo no doubt but first I want to tackle some issues that you pointed out in your press release. Note that my response has nothing to do with ''pulling you down further'', I am only trying one last attempt like a drowning fish to rescue my name that you called out in your release....I want to state here categorically that I am not a babalawo, hence your 

reference to ''the writers concoction of lies was a misfire''.

Let me start from the beginning.

I am so sorry for not contacting you before I released my story concerning you and the South-South Governor, I guess that was a misfire on my side but the thing is I am tired of the lies told by you and your ilk when called to confirm a story...biko forgive me for that.

I never claimed or wrote anywhere that Nuella lives in the east with a Nollywood producer. I reported last year that Actress Nuella was in a neck deep in a relationship with movie producer Tchidi Chikere and that he had moved out of his home into hers. They came out with a press release denying that anything of such was happening. I hinted that the actress may be pregnant and her flat tummy proved me wrong.

The publicist of that press release confirmed that relationship and even said the producers wife was the reason her marriage crashed, the publicist also corrected me that Nuella was not pregnant.

Before I broke the report of Nuella's affair with Tchidi which was an open secret, they had been dating for many months before the report and Tchidi was a known face at her abode in 

Lagos. The second man I reported she dated was international footballer Emmanuel.... whom she 

visited briefly in Russia. If she claims she did not go to Russsia to drink tea then so be 

it, but thank God she did not break the footballer's relationship to someone else. I quote ''The writer should be bold enough to say publicly what axe she has to grind with Nuella rather than hide behind the noble profession of  journalism to execute her cheap hatchet job. An open declaration of her true intentions will probably confer on her some measure of respect which she desperately needs to salvage her dwindling career fortunes.

Journalism is not for rumour mongers. We know it is her stock in trade to blackmail rising 

stars and 'A-listers' who are mostly her friends until they come and pay 'homage'. We won't be blackmailed under any circumstance.''

Beautiful Nollywood actress, Nkiru Sylvanus who doubles as a Special Adviser to the Imo State Governor on Public Affairs was on Sunday morning abducted along with her PA by unidentified men from her home in Owerri.

The above photo was taken by Kenneth Okoli at the location where they were shooting a movie, a day before.

Nkiru Sylvanus still remains missing as her abductors are reportedly demanding a sum of N100m for her release. Also there is not much information coming from security agencies regarding efforts to rescue her from her abductors.

Nollywood Actress Monalisa Bags Award In Germany

Single mother of one actress, Monalisa Chinda has won two awards in Germany. The delectable actress was announced winner of two different awards held in Germany; the Adler Awards and NEGA Awards.

 Mona, as she is also called, was among the selected Africans who have shown the greatest promise of contribution to human well-being, through the application of their intellect and knowledge towards the development of their communities.

 The prestigious Adler awards was held in Bonn, Germany on December 1, 2012 while the NEGA awards took place on December 8, 2012.

How Omotola And Genevieve Were Tricked Into Appearing In The Same Movie

Arguably Africa’s most famous actresses with a fan base wide enough to win an election, not many were unsurprised to see Omotola Jalade Ekeinde and Genevieve Nnaji feature together once again in a movie. This is more so following their purported rivalry and envy of each other. Although they’ve never confirmed or deny their rivalry, industry watchers insist there exists an unwritten rival code between the two divas.

Interestingly, both actresses have acted as sisters in more movies than any other rivals in Nollywood. Therefore, it was a sort of coup when Chineze Anyaeze got both rivals to act again as sisters in Ije, a movie which was her project work at the film school.

Revealing how she achieved the feat of convincing Omotola and Genevieve to take part in her project, Anyaeze said, “When I was even thinking of approaching them, a lot of people discouraged me saying the pair don’t talk but I went ahead to ‘chase’ them for months.

“When I called Omotola, she asked who the other actress was, I said Genevieve and when I called Genevieve she asked who the other actress was, I said Omotola (laughs).

“And she was like, ‘has she agreed?’ I said yes and Omotola asked me too if Genevieve had agreed, I said yes meanwhile they hadn’t even agreed (laughs) but I had to use that trick to be able to get them together in the film,” the Masters degree holder in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy (NYFA) disclosed.”

Speaking further on her experience with them and how both got together on set, Anyaeze revealed, “It was a wonderful experience working with these two stars, they knew I was a student at the New York Film Academy at that time.

“So, when the production started on the first day, they didn’t take part but they observed the session. When their turn came, they were very professional all the way, it was pleasant scenery all through.”

Ije which grossed over N60 million at the cinemas, a feat that makes it the highest grossing Nigerian movie in the cinemas, was finally released on DVD on Monday, December 3, 2012.

Here it goes: Thelma is a pretty make-up artiste in Nollywood and the ex-girl friend of comedian and on-air radio personality, Steve Onu a.k.a Yaw.

A year ago, there was buzz online and in Nollywood that Thelma was dating A-list actor, Segun Arinze and almost crashed his marriage to Schlumberger lawyer Julie. Insiders confirmed it took prauerd and fasting to get Thelma off Segun's arms. This led to Yaw dumping Thelma. And as you read this, Yaw and Segun do not speak!

Thelma is in the news again and this time she has crashed the marriage of her best friend, actress Gloria Mba, whose Marriage was contracted to Houston-based, Leo Kanu on March 27, 2011. Gloria announced, via her facebook handle that her marriage had crashed.

Insiders informed us that Thelma and Leo, who have been having phone s***x met in Berlin(Germany) and consummated the affair. The trip was all expenses covered by Leo, the smitten lover boy.

We contacted Gloria on sunday, Novembar 25, 2012 and after asking her questions she cuts the call after denying that her marriage has crashed. We called back and rephrased the questions and sighing deeply she opened up, "Yes my marriage is over and yes, Thelma is part of the reason it crashed."

We asked her what happened and what role Thelma played in the crash. "I read Thelma and Leo's mails to each other and Thelma didn't know I knew they are dating. I bumped into his inbox. We have our passwords and I just wanted to check, I never bothered to check all this while out of trust and but I just got curious and checked it and got a shocker."

We asked her to cop us the mail and if she confront Thelma when the marriage is already over and no, I cannot copy you the email. I just want to move on. My ex-husband's friend asked me to confront them but there's no need because it will change nothing. I took Thelma like my own sister and we were so close."

To be fair, we called Thelma and here's what went down, "Thelma, we heard you crashed your friend, Gloria Mba's marriage.

Her response, " Oh my goodness, this is not real (laughing) Is her marriage crashed? Has she called me? I know her husband and I was at their wedding. Oh my God."

Thelma, we heard you have been mailing Gloria's husband and having phone sex with him. Is this true?"

Thelma dropped the phone and we called back but she refused to pick the phone, despite the number of times we tried.

WHAT’S WRONG IF WOMEN TAKE OVER NOLLYWOOD?- GENEVIEVE NNAJI

The emergence of fiberisima Ibinabo as first female president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, to Nollywood’s A-list actress, Genevieve Nnaji is a gender changing moment for growth. Genevieve speaks on her contribution to the whole event and her hope that women would continue to take-over the mantle of leadership in all human endeavors.

What is your comment and contribution to the emergence of Ibinabo Fiberisima as AGN`s first female president?

I personally endorsed her and I encouraged her to contest. I am really glad that she made it.

Do you see her coming as a new era of good things to come in AGN?

I hope so and I think a lot will change. Once there is a change, just a little hole, it will create an expansion and doors would be opened. We are all hopeful, fingers crossed. This will be a good thing for the industry as a whole.

But is it African or socially right for women to take over the control of the AGN?

What is wrong with that? If that is not true but then, what is wrong with that? We are human beings; you have men, you have women.

What other optionts are there ,dogs? 

What kind of support are you giving her?

I am giving her my personal support anyway she wants it and anyway I can, at least to my ability.

Has she approached you yet?

Well, she has spoken to me about one or two things; nothing conclusive yet. But yea, they are things I am not going to shy away from.

Nollywood mourns as Pete Eneh is reported dead

Popular Nollywood actor, Pete Eneh, who had his leg amputated last month following an undisclosed infection, has passed away.

Information at our disposal indicate he died today at Park Lane Hospital, Enugu.

Actors Guild of Nigeria president, Fiberesima Ibinabo has promised to provide more information on the actor’s death.

Top movie star Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde picked her BEFFTA FILM ICON award at a private presentation at London’s leading film studios East End Studios.

Speaking to the press in London, the star expressed her gratitude for being honoured with such a high profile award.

Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has become the first movie star to be awarded with the special BEFFTA honorary award in the film category, other high profile personalities who received BEFFTA special award this year include Sir Trevor McDonald OBE recipient of BEFFTA LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT award.

The humanitarian and Amnesty international activist said, “this is the best award I have received on a global level, it is such an honour and I’m truly humbled that 16 years of my work in the film industry has been rewarded in a special way internationally.

Rotund but beautiful Nollywood actress, Grace Amah, who has been missing on screen for some time now, we learnt, has finalise plans to stage a comeback to her first love-acting in a grand style.

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Eneh loses one leg to illness

Extremely sad news coming from the home of veteran actor, Pete Eneh. Just heard from reliable sources that doctors at Parklane Hospital Enugu had no choice but to amputate one of his legs in order to save his life.

The veteran actor was said to have sustained some kind of injury last year, and because he didn't take proper care of it, it led to serious infection that became hard to treat. The injury was said to have degenerated to a sore and because Mr Eneh was diabetic, it refused to heal. He spent three months at the hospital before he was advised to amputate the leg before the infection spread to other parts of his body. 

The amputation took place on Wednesday October 24th after all efforts to save the leg was unsuccessful. Pete Eneh is said to be dealing with it well.

"It's Stupid For Anyone To Say I'm Gay As A Church Leader"

In a society like Nigeria that frowns at homosexuality, it is very uncommon to see those linked to such act to openly admit being one. One cannot forget in a hurry how controversial artiste Charly Boy frowned at being called a gay by a national daily, which led to a one-billion Naira lawsuit against the newspaper that published such story about him. 

Even with the fact that Charly Boy is a media frenzy person, he raised an eyebrow over that type of 'publicity stunt' which he felt was damaging to his image and person.

Some months ago, it was reported that Nollywood actor, Arinze Okonkwo may have allegedly be connected with such act and was insinuated that he was not a straight person in terms of his sexuality. He was reported to have left an event hall when Paul Obazele requested that any person practising homosexual should leave the hall before being disgraced. 

As reported, Arinze walked out of the hall which raised questions about his sexuality.

At an event held in Lagos recently, Nigeriafilms.com sought his view about the rumour surrounding his sexuality. He was furious and was quick to ask if those saying he was gay do not know that he is married and also recently had a child? 

"They don’t know I’m married? That I just had a baby? I am not [a gay]. It is stupid for anybody to think that [I am gay]. Haha, I dated so many girls and I am now a married man, don’t even think about it. If that was your first question, I won’t even answer you. I do not entertain nonsense from anybody. 

"I am a child of God. I am a praise leader in my church. The person saying that does not know me and when people don’t know you, that is when they talk rubbish. I don’t care what anybody says about me. I am standing straight and I know God is my witness," Arinze told Nigeriafilms.com.

MEDIA ARE HELPFUL BUT DESTRUCTIVE TO CELEBRITIES

Oluremi Oshodi, the veteran actress who has paid her dues in Nollywood, most especially the Yoruba genre has resurfaced again after five years of abstaining from media interviews and reports. This Nollywood actress popularly known as Remi Surutu reveals that actors are human beings too, and as celebrities, they are not supposed to be scandal free.

She said this while answering question on how she has been able to go through her tough times in a scandal prone industry. The producer of Leyin Igbeyawo, a movie that starred Funke Akindele, was of the opinion that most scandalous stories are mere imaginations of the writers.

While scoring Nigeria’s media, Surutu views the media as helpful at one time and destructive to celebrities some other time, “But any way, I still love the media. My reason is that we as artiste still get a lot of benefits from the media. Most stories are published to tarnish the image of the affected persons. I have made myself not the party type, this has been from childhood. I don’t have a trend for going out.” she further explained that scandals could happen to anybody, irrespective of one’s field or profession. Nigerians always pick on celebrities, thinking of them as bitches; that is why I don’t mix my social life, that of been a celebrity with my personal life. That is why I play it on a low key,” she revealed.

On the assumption that females folks do better than their male counterparts, Remi cited examples of the likes of Ramson Noah, Nonso Diobi, Mike Ezeronye who are doing great even as Glo ambassadors and the likes.

Remi Surutu also said that she has just completed her latest movie. She said the cinema movie that will be premiered soon revolves round graduates, who end up being jobless, turning out to be touts, hooligans, and crazy fellow to the society

Talking about her bitter experience in the hands of the media, three and a half years ago, Remi revealed “It was a bitter story on my sick child. But I have put that behind me. That was the last time I had a bad story.” She sees herself not only as a public figure but a good mother to her children.

God bless American doctors. The delectable actress and movie producer found out she needed corrective eye surgery after going for a routine eye test to get a driver's license in the US. 

One of the prerequisites of getting a driver's license in America is to go for an eye test to certify that you can see clear enough to drive. So Ms Jumbo went for hers, since she now spends a lot of time in the US with her husband, and doctors discovered she needed corrective eye surgery, which she has gone for.

AMAA 2012 Screening of Movies held in Ibadan

Contrary to reports in some quarters that nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu is down with kidney problems, a popular entertainment magazine -E247 Entertainment reports that the actress is actually down with HIV.

 Findings by my team shows that the actress has become a shadow of herself  while most of her fans are praying for her soonest recovery.

Here is what E247 wrote

The story that Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu is critically ill is no more an issue. What is the boggling is the ailment she is suffering from. Following E24-7 magazine’s report in our story, HELP! NGOZI NWOSU IS DYING, published October1-7,2012, our office was inundated with several calls from fans, spiritualists and curious readers but recently a more shocking revelation on the true situation of the health of the once robust and beautiful actress who has over the last two months gone into recluse was disclosed. The source who pleaded anonymity and was formerly in the service of the Nigerian Medical Research Center, Yaba, Lagos as a nurse hinted she’s HIV positive.

According to the source who was one of Ngozi`s medical counselors at the NMR, “Ngozi has been on medical surveillance since 2010. She is what I will call an HIV positive patient. Her kidney problem is as a result of her HIV complications. She used to visit the center on Wednesdays but we have not seen her for some time now”

When a patient with HIV refuses to take recommended retro-viral drugs the person cannot get better. That is her problem.

Mind you when she visited the center not quite before I left we found out her DN4 was so low that we immediately raised an alarm and told her to be cautious of her her health situations and advised her to do better in taking her drugs as required.”

The source also revealed that some of Ngozi`s problem to her not getting well may be psychological, “You see when a patient has a troubled love life like Ngozi things will hardly get going for her. She is not a happy woman, having no husband and child, so her thoughts will always be negative and that will cause her more bad than good.

She needs to retrace her steps to finding her healing and that is if she is not already a full AIDS patient.” Currently, Ngozi has kept away from public glare while some of her friends and movie colleagues are seeking financial assistance for her treatment. There are indications she has moved to neighbouring Cotonou, Benin Republic where her former husband comes from as her aides and handlers claimed during enquiry on phone. More troubling, are Ngozi`s recent pictures where she looks gaunt and pale. She has since neglected public functions and stopped appearing at movie locations.

 It is no news that Fiberesima Ibinabo has emerged the new president of troubled Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) but that her administration might again be crisis ridden just like the past two might be news.

This is because popular actor, Emeka Ike is set for a showdown to continue his fight, which nearly wrecked the tenure Segun Arinze, who resigned as the president in April 2012 after a scuffled election in Benin City, Edo State.

At the election help on September 27, 2012 which brought Ibinabo into office, Emeka reportedly stormed the guild’s secretariat in Lagos to arrest the vice chairman of AGN’s BOT, Emma Oguguah and took him to Zone 2 police headquarters in Lagos.

Last week Thursday, Emeka, Ibinabo, Emma and their lawyers were at the Zone 2 headquarters over the case. Both Emeka and Emma claimed threat to lives on each other. Efforts to broker peace between the parties failed.

While Ibinabo offered Emeka to work in her government in order to move the guild forward, Emeka asked if Ibinabo has cleared her served her jailed term. He further asked if the manslaughter charge on her has finally been settled which Ibinabo rightly affirmed she has been cleared of.

Speaking with newsmen, Emeka stated that an ex-convict cannot rule the Guild. He said that he is not interested in ruling AGN but was only fighting that the Guild be saved from the hands of Emma, who he claimed, has solely held the Guild in his hands.

Meanwhile, Emeka Rollas has finally accepted Ibinabo as the president elect. Ibinabo is barely two weeks in office now, will her aim of bringing back A-list Nollywood stars back into AGN be achieved with the enormous crises before her? Time will tell.

'Dino Melaya is responsible for my pregnancy ' -Nollywood actress(A MUST READ)

After months of keeping mum about her pregnancy, the actress has finally revealed the identity of the man responsible for her pregnancy - Dino Melaye, a former member of the House of Representatives. I hear Dino is a married man? Wow! Anyway, below is what the popular Yoruba actress, who is six months pregnant, told E247mag.com... 

"I actually met Dino  through Lola Alao sometime March or early April  and honestly speaking I was in need of help and Lola Alao promised she would introduce me to someone who could help. The person turned out to be Dino.  I actually visited him in Abuja. He was actually forthcoming and helpful. I was not the only one involved then but he took particular interest in me.  We got to know each other and at a point I was scared because he was all over me. Overtime, he showed me he meant well and we became good friends.

“Somehow, one thing led to the other and we started dating. He appeared nice, loving and showed me a lot of affection. He was quite frequent in my Lagos house. I remember when he came to Lagos for the birthday of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu,  I went to pick him from the airport to my house.  We were an item and it was known to a couple of our close friends in the industry.  Shortly after, I travelled to Canada and it was while in Canada with my colleagues, Foluke Daramola and Moji Olaiya, that I felt the symptoms of pregnancy. It started with the usual morning sickness. I could not believe it. It was painful because I could not participate in all the programmes lined up for us in Canada.  

 I can remember that it was Moji Olaiya that went to buy the pregnancy kit that later confirmed I was pregnant. Immediately, I called Dino in Nigeria and shared the news with him. He was excited about it and he told me he was looking forward to seeing me in Lagos soon. When I returned, he received me with joy and on an occasion he took me to his hometown, Kabba in Kogi State. He told me he wanted to marry me. He was so nice to me.” The romance heightened over time, they became closer than ever but somehow there was a dark cloud lurking in their stars.

“Sometime in  May, I went to London, came back and he called and said again that he actually wanted a big  society wedding for me but since his parents are clerics and the rules and regulation of their church  frowns at pregnant brides he would want me to get rid of the pregnancy. I was shocked. I wept uncontrollably all night. Later, I called him nd told him since that’s his new position, I will advise him to go to his parents with another and marry. I’m not keen about society wedding but love to keep the pregnancy and have my baby. He did not allow me to say my mind when he dropped the phone.

 I called him severally but he refused to pick my calls. I sent emissaries, friends to him but he refused to listen. His complaint, according to my friends who took the courage to talk him was that I was rude. You can imagine, Dino refused to understand; he failed to know that I’m no longer a baby. This is my joy, joy unspeakable to me, something I have been praying for and he wanted me to be funny with it.  It’s ridiculous.” Since June , Bisi told E24-7 MAGAZINE, Dino, never showed, he never came.

“He stopped picking my calls. But each time I tried to call him with another mobile number,  he would pick the call but as soon as he finds out I’m the one on the phone he will drop it.  I have not wronged Dino, I have only chosen to do what is right to me but he sees it differently.  I’m no longer a kid.  It’s painful that such action is coming   from a man who claims he loves the masses, the oppressed people  of this country and he is oppressing me. My fate is in the hands of God and He will see me through. I have not been working to earn any money but I have found favour before God and a couple of my friends. I know I’m not alone in this. God is with me.”

Asked if Lola Alao had intervened, the Bisi  Omologbalogba fame actress said: “ I spoke with her; I pleaded with her to talk to Dino. I was shocked when she told me that Dino said he was not responsible for the pregnancy. I took her up on this.  I asked her if she believed him. I found it insulting that at my age I wouldn’t know who is responsible for my pregnancy?  But then, I’m not surprised because I have been fed with a lot of information that Lola and Dino are dating now.”other mobile number,  he would pick the call but as soon as he finds out I’m the one on the phone he will drop it.

Meanwhile, Dino Melaye, has dismissed claims by Bisi that he’s responsible for her pregnancy, saying it is an “Africa Magic story”.

Regina Askia Stunning In New Photos

She’s relocated to the US and taken up a job at a New York Hospital but the delectable and dashing Regina Askia-Williams can still give today’s Nollywood divas a run for their money. 

 The mother of two was recently featured in Trendy Africa magazine where her past and present status was profiled.

 But what’s got our attention is the stunning, hot photos from the shoot. Born Imaobong Regina Askia Usoro in Lagos in 1967, the actress left the Nollywood scene in the last ’90s, relocating with her family to the US.

 She is happily married to Rudy Williams and has a 10 year old daughter Teesa and an eight year old son; Rudy Jnr. Tessa, (who is following in her mum’s footsteps as a model) is currently schooling in France. 

The former ‘Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria’ currently works a nurse at the NYC Hospital – Oncology RN.
