Cross River State to sue Rick Ross for Breach of Contract
The Cross River State Government stated in a BB messenger broadcast today that they've hired lawyers in the US to sue rapper, Rick Ross, for breach of contract.
Rick Ross was scheduled to perform today Dec 28th at the Calabar Carnival, and he collected his full performance fee, but then didn't show up for reasons he termed 'unfulfilled contractual obligations'.
Not only do the Cross River State Govt want their money back, they are also seeking damages.

Just yesterday the internet was abuzz with rumours that Rick Ross had died after the news broke that he had been hospitalised after suffering serious seizures.
But despite his medical scare, 35-year-old Ross will perform tonight as scheduled, according to the venue at which he is scheduled to play.
Ross was hospitalized twice for seizures as he tried to travel to Memphis for a show last night, at which he never performed.
But TMZ are reporting that the hip hop artist will perform tonight at Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina as part of homecoming at North Carolina A&T State University.
The website has spoken to an employee at the venue who relayed that Ross' people called the venue this morning to confirm that he is feeling better and will be on stage as planned tonight.
Ross was taken to an Alabama hospital after losing consciousness mid flight, again according to TMZ.
He suffered an earlier episode yesterday on a flight from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Memphis, which had to be diverted.
According to a report on TMZ.com, his entourage jumped out of their seats to alert plane personnel - at which point a doctor on board administered CPR on the rapper.
Rapper Rick Ross reportedly hospitalized
Rapper Rick Ross was reportedly hospitalized in Alabama on Friday evening after suffering two medical scares in six hours that required planes to be diverted.
The first scare came Friday afternoon as Ross was on a Delta Air Lines flight from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to Memphis, Tenn., where Ross was scheduled to appear at a University of Memphis basketball event that night.
The plane returned to Florida after Ross suffered an unspecified medical problem. He was treated at a Fort Lauderdale hospital, and he even tweeted "Memphis here I come" afterward.
But after Ross hopped a Memphis-bound private jet, it made an unscheduled landing in Birmingham, Ala., because the 34-year-old singer experienced another medical problem, Memphis basketball coach Josh Pastner told a crowd at the Friday night event where Ross was to appear.
"On his way to Memphis," Pastner said, "he had to make another emergency landing, in Birmingham. He got really sick again, and they had to rush him to the emergency room."
Rick Ross Fell in Plane Goes Unconscious
After reports surfaced on Friday (October 14) that Rick Ross suffered from a seizure that rendered him unconscious, MTV News has learned that the Bawse is OK.
The Teflon Don even sent out a message via Twitter downplaying the incident.
TMZ broke the news on Friday, reporting that at 12:55 p.m.
ET, Rozay — who was traveling from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Memphis perform a show — fell unconscious just after his plane took off.
