Jay-Z reveals Beyonce suffered a miscarriage before falling pregnant with Blue Ivy Carter

Beyonce suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage before falling pregnant with her daughter, according to her husband Jay-Z.
The rapper made the revelation in a new song Glory which he posted on his social website Life and Times today.

The tune is a tribute to the couple's new baby, Blue Ivy Carter, who was born by C-section, at in New York late Saturday night.
But Jay-Z's sweet song gives fans the details, and more: 'You're my child of a child from Destiny's Child.'

In the song, Jay-Z, 42, talks about where the child was conceived (in Paris) and even reveals that Beyonce, 30, had a lost a child one point.

'Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you'd disappear/But nah baby you magic.'

The sound of crying Blue Ivy can be heard at the end of the song.

The track was produced by Pharrell and credits the new arrival as 'B.I.C.'

Other moving lyrics include: 'The most amazing feeling I feel, words can't describe what I'm feeling for real / Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you.

'You're the child of destiny / you're the child of my destiny / you're my child with the child from Destiny's Child.'

It's the first child for the power couple, who wed in 2008 in a private ceremony after a years-long courtship. Beyonce announced her pregnancy to the world last August at the MTV Video Music Awards with a simple rub of her swollen belly.

Celebs close to the couple have tweeted congrats. Beyonce's sister, Solange Knowles, tweeted Sunday morning: 'The most beautiful girl in the world,' while Beyonce's close friend Gwyneth Paltrow also tweeted: 'Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already.'

Meanwhile, it has emerged that the A-list couple have infuriated other new parents by enforcing a lockdown at the hospital where they had their first child together.

The pop superstars reportedly spent a staggering $1.3 million for pricey renovations to an exclusive recovery area at one of Manhattan's swankiest hospitals - including a bulletproof door to her room.
hey also have their own private security force working an area alongside hospital security already at Lenox Hill Hospital.

But other parents have bitterly complained that the intense measures have not just given privacy to the superstars and their baby - but made other new parents miss out on precious moments with their own newborns.

Fuming parents said they were essentially put on 'lockdown' so that the pampered songstress and her party could come and go as they pleased.

'They just used the hospital like it was their own and nobody else mattered,' blasted new dad Neil Coulon, who said his efforts to see his premature, newborn twins in the neonatal ICU were disrupted at least four times by the arrival of Beyonce and her crew.

Coulon - who is from Jay-Z's native Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn - said some of his relatives drove 4 1/2 hours to see his girls, only to be shunted aside for Beyonce.

'They locked us into the NICU and would say, "You can't come out to the hallway for the next 20 minutes." When I finally was able to go back out, I went to the waiting room and they'd ushered my family downstairs!

Pregnant Beyonce On Jay-Z: I “Hate” The Way He Smells Now

Beyonce is still promoting her Pulse fragrance and while making the rounds, she got candid with Entertainment Tonight Canada. From talking about her newly-enhanced sense of smell to how her mother still affects her decision-making, watch Bey laugh it up below!

Do things smell differently now that you’re pregnant?

Oh! My nose is like [mimics radar] ‘doot, doot, doot’! I smell everything! It enhances it. If it smells bad, I smell it! My husband’s fragrance, his one that I always love, I hate right now. So, thank God I love this one [laughs].

Jay-Z have a secret child.

When Beyonce revealed her baby bump to the world at the MTV Video Music Awards last month, fans were thrilled that the singer and her husband, Jay Z, were finally going to become new parents. But sensational new claims may well overshadowed some of the excitement.

The 41-year-old rapper, who has been married to the Crazy In Love singer for three years, allegedly has a secret child. The 99 Problems singer reportedly fathered a young boy nine years ago with Trinidad model Shenelle Scott. Jerard Andrews says his son Malik Sayeed was wrongly identified as the father, and DNA tests prove that Jay-Z is the boy's biological dad. 'At the time [he] was born, my son Malik thought he was his child, but they did DNA tests,' he told the publication.

It’s been determined that [the child is] Jay-Z’s baby.' friends urged Sayeed to get a paternity test after the baby's arrival because Scott had been seen around Jay-Z. 'Malik threw [Shenelle] a baby shower and bought all this stuff to prepare for the arrival,' a source told the magazine. However, after the baby was born, friends and family told him he needed to get a DNA test. 'Everyone knew she was sleeping around and sleeping with Jay,' the source added. 'There was a good chance it was his.' Confirmation that Sayeed was not the father reportedly came two weeks later, when paternity test results allegedly determined the boy was Jay-Z's. 'Maybe two weeks later, he called me and said, "Daddy, I got some bad news. [He’s] not my son,"' Andrews told the publication.

Malik?’ He said, "He doesn’t look anything like me!"' A source said that the child posses many of Jay-Z's features, and that the rap mogul is currently paying Scott child support. He is said to have even helped the new mother set up a home in Trinidad to raise the child. 'Shenelle told me that Jay-Z gave her $1 million to keep her mouth shut,' Jerald told Star. 'My understanding is that he’s paying her child support. 'Shenelle took the money and bought herself a really nice house in Trinidad that the whole family lives in now.

According to the source, Jay-Z's 30-year-old wife Beyonce, who is currently pregnant with their child, is well aware of boy and while at first furious, she has come to accept it. It is unclear if the baby was conceived before Jay-Z met Beyonce, who has has been with for close to ten years. Her husband is also reportedly still in contact with Scott, and has expressed interest in being a part of his son's life. 'She says he’s a good father and he has a lot of interest in [the boy],' he told Star.

It was a big old mess at one time, but I think once they resolved the issue of fatherhood, of paternity, I think things started to level off.' The controversial new claims are mostly likely to be a huge blow for Jay-Z and Beyonce, who have been basking in pre-baby bliss since the singer first announced her pregnancy, last month. She was cheered on Jay-Z, who performed new single Otis with Kanye West, before taking to the stage herself. Arriving onstage in a purple glittery blazer and black trousers by Dolce & Gabbana, the mother-to-be said: 'I want you to feel the love that's growing inside of me.'

Has Rihanna Fired Jay-Z?

A dark cloud looms over RocNation today as MediaTakeOut (via Popdust) reports that Rihanna has fired her hip-hop mogul mentor and manager, Jay-Z.

The split comes just days after Beyonce revealed that she was pregnant at the 2011 MTV VMA awards.

This has led to speculation that RiRi can't handle the ever widening grip of Jay and Queen B's empire.
Apparently, back in April, the 'Umbrella' singer began to notice "financial irregularities" after RocNation started managing Beyonce.
Rihanna is now allegedly looking to leave the label and management company altogether. The Barbadian singer is currently in a legal dispute with the sister of her official RocNation manager, Jay Brown.

RiRi is suing the woman for fraudulently claiming that a house the pop star bought in 2009 was in working order. It was recently reported that the house has incurred irreparable water leaks. Will little Jayonce come into this world amid an epic legal dispute (and boy, would it be epic!), or will he/she continue on as hip-hop heir to the nation of Roc?

Jay-Z buys $100k bottle of bubbly to celebrate album

JAY-Z has thrown a Miami bash for his new album, "Watch the Throne", splashing out on a $100,000, 15-litre bottle of Ace of Spades champagne.

The event was held on Sunday at the Fontainebleau resort, the New York Post reports.

"It takes two people to serve the champagne due to the size and weight of the bottle," remarked a gobsmacked witness.

The dapper rapper partied without his wife, Beyonce, who was performing in New York at the Roseland Ballroom, or his "Throne" partner Kanye West, who was overseas, according to a Jay-Z rep.

Instead, Jay-Z hosted a dinner for about 40 friends - including DJ Clue, Ne-Yo and Kim Porter before moving his bash to Fontainebleau club LIV, where the mega-bottle of bubbly got popped.

BIRDMAN FINALLY RESPONDS TO JAY-Z'S "BABY MONEY" DISS

Cash Money Records' Birdman finally decided to respond back to Jay-Z's "Baby Money" reference on the new "H.A.M." single by insisting he will keep his money flowing.

The Birdman took to his Twitter page this week to specifically quote Jay's subliminal.

We first heard the phrase "Baby Money" on Kanye West and Jay-Z's talked about "H•A•M" single and immediately figured it was a shot at Lil Wayne and Birdman from the oh-so-sneaky Jigga. Well, it looks like Stunna has finally acknowledged Jay's tap at the Cash Money Billionaires. "we gonna keep spending 'baby money' ...billionaire minds stay tuned." After betting $1 million on the Green Bay Packers in this past Sunday's Super Bowl, YMCMB's own won the seven-figure bet as the Packers took home the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Great! Baby's a million dollars richer! Maybe Forbes can tell us what that puts his net worth at now. Oh wait.. (Complex)

Reports last month suggested Jay was taking a subliminal shot at Birdman on "H.A.M."

"Really, you got baby money." The line is a double entendre meant both as a general reference to the small amount of money that other rappers have in comparison to Jay-Z, and as a specific reference to the wealth of rapper Dwayne "Lil Wayne" Carter, also known as "Weezy Baby," and fellow New Orleans rapper and record executive Brian "Birdman" Williams, also known as "Baby." The latter recently claimed the former had more money than Jay-Z, which is, well, simply not true. Jay-Z earned $63 million dollars last year, tops on our list of hip-hop's top earners, while Lil Wayne banked $20 million. Birdman did not make the list. Perhaps the best line on Jay-Z's new track is a verifiable and, one might say progressive, boast: "(You) ain't got my lady's money!" Indeed, Beyonce took in a whopping $87 million by our last annual count, more than any rapper -- and more than Jay-Z and Lil Wayne combined. (Forbes)

In October 2009, Birdman a.k.a. Baby explained why he felt Wayne outshined Jay and made more money than him.

"Well I feel like, as far as number one to me, that don't really matter, it's about who makes the most money and do the most," Baby explained in an interview. "I think my son do the most, rap the most, he do the most shows, we do the most so if we do the most, how could you be number one if you ain't making the most? No, no, [beef]. Nothing personal, they just asked me my opinon and that was my opinion. I think we do the most and make the most, so if you don't like it, that's on you. I can't see past Wayne, so I can't see Jay-Z." ("106 & Park")

In January 2010, Jay addressed the comments and challenged Baby to put his money where his mouth is.

"Being lyrical is just a matter of opinion, it's who you like, so you know that's his opinion," Hov said about Birdman's comments. "As far as money, you know, that's a little more factual. We can determine that. It's gonna cost [to see my bank account]. Put it up, if he's that confident, I'll give him a little glimpse. It's crazy. Knock it off, but as far as being lyrical, that's for the viewers, that's everybody. I respect that, that's his guy, so he's supposed to roll with his guy. I don't have no problems with that. I don't have problems with anybody, I want this to be my most positive year. I don't want no problems." (Hot 97)

JAY-Z BREAKS DOWN "WATCH THE THRONE" MEANING, "IT'S [ABOUT] PROTECTING THE MUSIC & CULTURE"

With his new joint "Watch the Throne" album selling out in stores, Grammy-winning rapper Jay-Z has opened up on the project's overall purpose.

"It's just protecting the music and the culture, like, it's people that's in the forefront of the music," Jay told radio host Lorenzo Thomas. "It's like, 'Watch the throne,' protect it. You just watch how popular music shift and how hip-hop has basically replaced rock n roll as the youth music. The same thing could happen to hip-hop. It could be replaced by other forms of music. So it's just like making sure we're putting that effort in making the best product, so we can contend with all these other music. With all dance music that's dominating the charts right now, indie music that's dominating the festivals and still holding off rock n roll. Just to hold our place and make sure -- the hip-hop culture is still the most dominant form of music around the world."

Asked about the possibility of swagger jackers copying their format, Jay gladly said he hoped hip-hop artists would follow in their footsteps.
"Anything that has success is gonna be emulated," Jay added. "That's the reason why we went down this road. We we down this road to make a great album but also to make a statement for this culture."

Along with getting projected to top its competition, Jay's new LP is slated to push over 500,000 units after its first week.

The Roc-a-Fella/Roc Nation hip-hop icons' Watch the Throne album is set for a #1 debut with anywhere from 500-550k, the second-largest first-week sales of the year next to Lady Gaga
While the project released exclusively via iTunes on Monday (August 8), physical copies were released a couple days ago.

"Watch the Throne," which miraculously didn't leak to the Web as so many eagerly-awaited albums have over the years, is exclusive to iTunes until Friday, Aug. 12. That's when all other retailers -- physical and digital -- will start selling "Watch." Of course, most brick-and-mortar retailers could opt to ignore the official street date and begin selling the CD as soon as they receive it, which may be as early as Wednesday.
