Dr Sid Responds To His Leaked Conversation About D'banj With Davido

Last weekend, a secret recording in which Dr Sid & Wande coal were engaged in a heated argument over Dbanj's contribution to Mohits went viral.

In the recording, Dr SID is heard talking in a rather upset tone about how his former label boss D’banj’s personality was over-shining his and the rest of the crew members.

Few hours ago, Dr Sid took to Twitter to explain that incident. Here's what he has to say:

Hi tweeps hope everyone is having a good day?

Please permit me to address the issue of the recording that was released this weekend.

I had a PRIVATE conversation with people I trusted (Kamal, Dbanjs' associate Evil, Godfather, Davido, B-Red).

I'm entitled to my opinion and its unfortunate that this happened…

Sadly, someone chose to record this private conversation and release it to the public.

However, this has taught me a valuable lesson on who to and not to speak with, but life must go on...

Exposed!! Why D'Banj And Don Jazzy Broke Up; Plus Dr SID Ambition(A MUST READ)

Greed, personal ambition, quest to be popular ahead of others are some of the factors that led to the "untimely" collapse of the Mo'Hits Records group, an audio conversation has revealed.

Just when we were thinking the D’banj versus Don Jazzy saga was ending, yet another controversy has come up; this time former Mo’Hits-now-MAVIN act, Dr SID, plays the leading role in the ‘never-ending’ controversy.

Further findings have revealed that Mo'Hits collapsed because the small boys in the house, Dr Sid in particular, wanted to grow faster than his shadow and might have indirectly pushed Don Jazzy into taking some wrong decisions.

A secret recording which has leaked is now giving a little more insight as to why the former ‘super group’ broke up with bosses – D’banj and Don Jazzy parting ways.

Dr SID in the recording, listened to by newsmen, was heard talking in a rather upset tone about how D’banj’s personality was over-shining his and the rest of the crew members.

"Why don’t they know my name? Because your brand and star is too much. It is overshadowing", Dr SID angrily said in the recording.

Young singer, Davido, who was part of the discussion, however had another opinion; he argued back and forth with Dr SID, explaining that it was D’banj that actually brought Dr SID and others to the limelight.

"Guuuy, it’s not that, D’banj can help anybody, ….If not for D’banj nobody would have looked at Wande, guy I dey lie?" Davido stressed.

According to Newmen, it is a well known fact that Dr SID and D’banj have been having inside brawls even though he (D’banj) was the one that brought Dr SID into Mo’Hits.

Several sources insist Dr SID was one of the persons who engineered the Mo’Hits split and he wanted to always be as big as D’banj. Wande was content as the fan favourite, D’Prince is okay as long as his elder brother makes the money.

Wizkid, Dadizo End "Beef"! Working On A Song Together

Nigeria's two leading young stars in the music industry, Wizkid and Davido, it appears, have finally put to rest the rumours of their supposed “beef”.

The two were rumoured to have some misunderstanding dating back to when D’Banj and Don Jazzy split as the artists had to choose camps and this resulted in a falling out between the two young stars.

However, they have announced on Twitter that they are currently working on a track together. Davido initially tweeted that he was trying to make a song with Wizkid. Moments later, Wizkid retweeted same. I guess we just have to wish them well in their new colabo.

How Davido left Wizkid drunk with a bill of N500,000 at a bar on the Island

Davido might deny the brewing cold war going on between him and Wizkid and even tell everyone who cares to listen that the Pakurumo singer is his ‘brother’ but insider sources say that is far from the truth.

Before Davido bursted into limelight, he and Wizkid were unknown to each other but that soon changed once Davido also became a household name and they both got to meet and struck a chord of friendship until sometime in May when the cordial relationship went sour.

According to an insider who knows the duo well and the source of their no-love lost relationship, Wizkid was chilling at a hotel somewhere on the Island and apparently wasn’t having a great time so he decided to put a call through to his friend, Davido who at the time was hanging out with five other friends of his.

The Omo Baba Olowo then instructed his aide to go and pick Wizkid at a hotel behind 1004 building on VI. In no time, Wizkid had joined Davido and his group of friends at a club in the civic centre where they had some drinks before carrying the party to Movida on Idowu Taylor, VI.

While there, Davido ordered some bottles of Hennessey for himself and two other friends who had just joined them and as they drank, Wizkid became tipsy and frail as he had one drink too many on the night. Immediately, he was carried to Davido’s car parked outside where he allegedly threw up. All this while, Davido was nowhere to be found as he abandoned his colleague and friend.

After a while, the bar tenders produced the bill which was about N500,000 and since Davido had disappeared into thin air and bulking under pressure to pay the bills, Davido’s aide took the bar tenders to Wizkid’s home where he was forced to issue a cheque to cover their unpaid expenses. This singular act put a strain on their relationship as Wizkid felt let down by Davido.

Already, their relationship had been tested following the bitter break-up of Mo’Hits as both artistes had their allegiances divided between Don Jazzy on one hand, and Dbanj on the other.

But what would finally prove to be the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back was when Davido was sending out invitation to guests for the launch of his O.B.O Album and he didn’t send any to Wizkid.

And to add salt upon injury, Davido and his crew reportedly sauntered out on a Wizkid performance to the consternation of many at the NEA couple of weeks back in New York.

With these series of events coupled with Davido’s denial and Wizkid’s obvious silence in the face of all the ‘beef’ rumor, isn’t obvious that all is not well between these two super stars? On Wizkid’s part, could this be the moment when ‘silence is golden?’ Time will tell.

Davido acquires N140 million home in Lekki

And he's just 20. Damn! :-) The music star just acquired a property in Lekki Phase1. I mentioned N140 million because that was what the property was on the market for but I can't say for sure if that's what Davido paid for it. The acquisition of the house was concluded between yesterday and today.

The house is close to where his father also has a house in Lekki. Can you spot Davido on his property? #bigboythings. Big congrats to him!

Davido issues official statement about alleged arrest warrant

As you all know by now there have been rumors about an arrest warrant for Davido. These are all false, according to the singer's management. Below is an official statement from Davido & HKN Music.

I want to assure all my beloved fans and friends that, I am not wanted by the police and no officer in the Nigerian police gave an order for my arrest.

I went to the police some weeks ago to give a statement and cleared my name. I did not beat up any taxi driver and the lady that hired the taxi driver and all those that are involved in this matter have made statements to the police and none of them mentioned my name except the taxi driver who claims that a large sum of money was missing in his taxi, in fact the lady in question stated that she was not beaten by anyone and that nobody assaulted the taxi driver.

This is a case of blackmail, and I have resolved not to succumb to any blackmail for money.

And to all those that are involved in this conspiracy to bring me down, I want to remind you that God Almighty himself got me to where I am today in my music career and you will not succeed in your devilish efforts to bring me down. Adedeji David Adeleke, aka Davido

TOO MUCH MONEY:Davido Buys Jewelry Worth Millions of Naira

Davido AKA Omo Baba Olowo just acquired gold worth millions of Naira. I hope he has investments? He should know that he can not reign for ever. Please his managers should help him manage him very well

Davido, Wizkid At Loggerheads, May Take Fight To Streets Like Pasuma

Disturbing news exclusively reported by NET about two young singers, Davido and Wizkid may get dirty if it is not quickly dealt with by icons in the industry. According to what NET reported, all seem not to be well between the two former close pals.

At the September 2, 2012 NEA awards held in New York, USA, Davido reportedly walked out on Wizkid when the latter mounted the stage to perform at the event.

Sources then revealed to us that Davido stood outside doing nothing but may have intentionally walked out because he didn't want to see his 'rival' perform while he would be watching.

Report says that strain in the relationship between Davido and Wizkid may have started when news went round that Davido was signed on D'Banj's record label. This, as it was reported, caused his relationship with Wande Coal to hit the rocks as Wande' boss, Don Jazzy was no longer in good terms with D'Banj after their reported split early this year.

Both Wizkid and Davido were reported to be learning the ropes from Wande Coal, who they took as mentors, until Don Jazzy, as reported, ordered Wande Coal to cut off his relationship with Davido after the latter decided pitched tent with the Kokomaster, D'Banj.

It was even reported that Davido had initially planned to feature Wande Coal and Wizkid in two different songs of his but both stylishly shunned him. First, Wande Coal was reported to have told the 'omo baba olowo' to pay 1.5million Naira to have him on his song.

Davido was reported to have wanted to go ahead to provide the cash, but his manager, Asa Asika stopped him. Secondly, Wizkid was reported to have told Davido that his beat, which he reportedly made for the collabo to featured Wizkid on, was below standard.

This, as reported, angered Davido and the battle line was drawn from that moment. Wizkid was said to have declined doing any duet with Davido because of Wande Coal, who was reported, may have told Wizkid to do so.

These disappointments by his 'friends' was reported to have led Davido to have done the song in his album titled ‘All of you,’ where Davido said he was better than ‘everyone’, but paying tributes to the likes of 2face, P-Square and D’banj as mentors. This, as reported, may have been the brain behind the absence of EME and Mavin records crew at Davido's OBO album launch concert held in July 2012 in Lagos.

As at press time, we were unable to contact either parties to react to the story, but we hope to get their reactions soon as we get them. For now, it is being feared that fans of both promising artistes might result to abusive ways in handling this news.

It is also feared that this does not result to fights being experienced by fans of Fuji musicians who take such developments sentimentally like the reported hatred between fans of Pasuma and Saheed Osupa.

Davido signs cousin rapper Sina Rambo to his music label, HKN

David Adeleke (Davido), Shina Adeleke (Sina Rambo) and Bayo Adeleke (B-Red) are all cousins. Davido's dad and Shina/Bayo's dad are brothers. Shina and Bayo's mum is American.

The cousins all lived in the US before relocating to Nigeria a while back to pursue music. Shina is older than Bayo who is currently a hype man for Davido.

They are all students of Lead City University, Ibadan. (Shina - Psychology) (B-Red - Mass Communication) Davido two days ago signed Sina Rambo to his music label, HKN, which is being run by his older brother Adewale Adeleke. I see they are keeping it all in the family. Great stuff!

Between Whizkid, Davido, Who Has More Swag, Success, Better Artiste?

Wizkid and Davido are definitely two different people with different backgrounds and ideologies.

One similarity between them is that they both joined the Nigerian music scene as teenagers and are also of same s*x.

While Whizkid was introduced into the game by an already established artiste, Banky W, the same was not for Davido, who reportedly paid about 1million to Naeto C to feature him in his hit track, Back Then.

Davido is a son of a billionaire businessman while same is not reported of Whizkid. Though attention seems to be shifting away from Whizkid to Davido, but the former has already built a fan based while he was still the hottest cake in town.

In your opinion, between Whizkid and Davido, who has more swag and fan base?

Who is more successful between them?

Who commands more females' attention if you were to judge that?

Who is a better artiste between Whizkid and Davido?

OPINION: Wizkid, Davido Intoxicated By Fame?

It's been a long time I have done this kind of opinion story, but with the events that have taken place in the last few days, I was obliged to do this. The last few days have been very interesting from the angles 23-year old Wizkid and his 19-year old colleague, Davido.

There is no doubt that the two singers gained fame at a very young age. Even adult singers that reigned before them, fame got them where they never expected to be and turned them into what they would have never imagined.

I mean both positively and negatively. I don't need to mention names, but we all know them. Davido's alleged assault on a cab driver aged 35, who may also pass as his father or better still, his uncle, is what should be taken lightly.

Moreso as a brand ambassador of MTN Pulse brand, which targets the youth, he is expected to be of a good behaviour always. What led to the alleged assault outside the hotel where the incident happened as reported, should never have come up in the first place with the campaign against sex before marriage.

Of course, Davido is not new to reportedly being involved in some messy waters. On the part of Wizkid, his twitter rant on Nigerian media is to me, a big slap on us. You don't bite the fingers that fed you.

Yes, we might be guilty in some ways, but there are diplomatic ways of handling such matters. Should the fact that these two artistes have gained fame become a criteria for believing they are better or bigger than others?

It hurts to see some artistes, who may have begged the media before fame turn out to insult them after getting the it. Enough of turning the Nigerian media into 'chewing gum', which is thrown away after use. I hope Wizkid and Davido are not getting intoxicated by fame. Let all the media arise now and take its stand like the British media would do. Enough is enough.

DAVIDO CLEAR THE AIR ABOUT BEING SIGNED ON D’BANJ’S LABEL

Fast rising singer, Davido has denied that he’s signed under D’banj’s record label, D’Banj Records.

During an interview with Saturday Independent, the pop star expressed respect for the D’banj and said although they’re working together, he is still an independent artist under his own label. ‘I am not signed under his label at the moment.

We are working together and he has business for me and we will see what the future holds’ he said.

The 19-year-old, who recently launched his debut album also talked about his success, which he calls ‘sudden and unexpected.’ According to him, the secret behind his fast fame is something he doesn’t understand, but is grateful for: ‘Everything is faith.

I cannot really explain how it happened. I don’t know how it happened…I did not plan all this.’ He also talked about his relationship with his father, saying ‘My father is a successful man, he works very hard and he is one of my mentors. I wish I could be like him.’

Davido, currently a 300 level student of Babcock University, co-runs his HKN label along with his cousins and label mates, Shina Rambo and B Red.

SHOCKER! Davido Assaults Cab Driver And Slaps Girlfriend After Caught Cheating

This is not looking good for Davido, he was accused of being very disrespectful towards women last year, this year he is already getting his share of bad press, Punch reports that: A taxi driver, Femi Ajibola, will never forget July 1, 2012 in a hurry. At about 5.30 pm on that day, he received a phone call from a young woman in the Lekki area of Lagos and had quickly answered the subsequent invitation to pick her up. “The lady introduced her as Susie. She called me to come and pick her and her friend. They told me to come pick them up at Mobolaji Estate near Lekki Second Roundabout.

Later, I took them to a hotel at Lekki Phase I to meet one of their friends. Click to continue reading.. “From there we left for Beni Apartment in Victoria Island. They said that I should wait for them and promised to be back soon. Not long afterwards, one of the girls began to scream as she was coming towards my car. Behind her, I saw David Adeleke (Davido) and four of his bouncers. “The girl was running towards me. I think the men had assaulted her. She said I should open the door for her so that she would enter. I opened the door for her; as she was about to enter the car, Davido caught up with her and slapped her face,” Ajibola said.

In a bid to save the girl from further assault, Ajibola switched on the engine of his cab and was about to drive off when the youthful singer suddenly dealt him a slap. The cabbie said, “He left the girl and faced me. He said I was the one that brought the girls, that I am their boyfriend. He knocked my face against the steering wheel of the cab. This made blood begin to come out from my ear drums. He seized my car keys and in the process, injured me. “Before I knew what was going on, his four bouncers began to beat me up. They beat me severely and took my car keys from me and chased me away.

This happened around 11 pm. I went to report the matter at the Bar Beach Police Station, which was the nearest one. I was asked to come back the next morning to report the case.” Unfortunately, Ajibola had just taken delivery of the vehicle he was using for his transport business and had not paid the dealer in full before the incident. He said that the balance of N100,000 was in the car before the incident had happened. In the whole confusion, he could not pick the money as he was ordered to leave the car by the bouncers.

“I had taken delivery of the vehicle about two weeks before the incident. I had paid my dealer N50,000 and the other N100,000 was in the car because I could not pay it in the bank. The money was in the car and since they had sent me away from the car, I could not retrieve it. “The following day, I did not find the money in the cab. They did not even let me wind the car windows up before they chased me out. I noticed that the car was ransacked. I managed to obtain Davido’s phone number and called him. But he did not pick his call. So I sent him a text message.

Thirty minutes after I sent him the message, someone picked up the call and promised to pass the message to him. I did not get my car key throughout that day. I went to the police station to file a report,” Ajibola said. “When all efforts to contact Davido proved futile, the police had to go to Susie. Unfortunately, she was of no help.” “On the fourth day, I went to Susie’s house with the police. The ladies said they were not the ones that beat me. They said the only help they could render was to give me Davido’s address and that they had since settled their differences.

The whole point of the police visit was to use the girls to get to Davido, but the girls made a phone call to an aunt of theirs and the policemen left them, saying that they were not the ones that assaulted me,” the cab driver said. CRIME DIGEST learnt that the genesis of the fight was because the singer was allegedly caught cheating on his girlfriend. Ajibola continued, I learnt that Davido was dating one of the girls I picked up. They went to his hotel room and caught him with another girl who was their friend.

This is what I learnt caused the fight. The police collected Davido’s phone number and called him, but he kept asking them if they knew whose son he was. “He warned the policemen not to threaten or intimidate him. They in turn told him that they were just inviting him for questioning and not to arrest him. Since then, the effort to get him has not been forthcoming. I had to go to the hospital because I was really injured. Davido gave me a blow to the ear which made it to bleed. “One day, the DPO of the station assured me that they would make sure they get him.

He was irritated by Davido’s boasting that he was immune to arrest. On July 13, one Sharon Adeleke asked me to come and collect the key of my car at 1004. I told her to come and meet me at the police station. She did not turn up till the DPO intervened. “The DPO invited the Sharon Adeleke, she eventually came to drop the key of the car. I told them that I could not just collect the key of the car without documentation that they gave me the key of the car without a penny, though I lost money and my car got damaged. When I said this, the DPO told me that I did not look like someone that was worth N100,000.

“He said I have no proof that there was money in the car and that all he was after was to retrieve my car keys for me. He said that if I wanted to do anything I should go to court and he ordered me out of his office. Till this moment I have not received my car keys or an apology from the singer,” Ajibola said. When contacted on the telephone, both Davido and the Divisional Police Officer of Bar Beach police station, Fakeye Adegoke, refused to answer their calls nor did they reply the text messages sent to them.

But Davido’s publicist, Valerie Obaze, denied her client’s involvement in the incident. “Davido has no knowledge of any incident involving the assault of a taxi driver or the illegal seizure of his car. He does not condone violence of any sort and will not be commenting on this untrue allegation,” she said via email However, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide promised to get back to CRIME DIGEST with the facts of the matter later.
