Will this follow the popular trend in the industry, where guys have their baby mamas on the side-line and they focus on their music only to show up years later and tie the knot like the popular tuface, peter and paul okoye of Psuare??time will tell anyway.
In January 2013 Akinmayokun ‘May D’ Awodumila and his baby mama Adebola Olowoporoku welcomed their first child together, 10 months later, the Pop singer is still showing off his bundle of joy.

NBC DENIES BANNING MAY D’S VIDEO

Contrary to reports saying Pop-R&B singer Awodumila Akinmayokun better known as May D had his debut video ‘Soundtrack’ banned by the National Broadcasting Commission, a rep for the NBC says the news is false.

A few weeks ago, several blogs reported that the video ‘Soundtrack’ which featured a cameo from alternative singer Retta was labelled NTBB by the NBC ‘because of too many lewd scenes’. A rep for the NBC however says the commission ‘has not made any pronouncements on the musical in question’.

‘NBC has not made any pronouncements on the musical in question. NBC will not stop you or anybody from purchasing any musical piece for private entertainment’, Franca Aiyetan, a rep for the NBC told NET in an E-mail correspondence.
‘Our concern is when such musicals are transmitted for public consumption via Broadcast Stations (Television and or Radio). The law provides that NTBB musicals (i.e Musicals with vulgar Lyrics and visuals are unwholesome for public viewing and should not be broadcast in public interest. The Broadcast Stations have their internal Quality control units and have the responsibility of vetting programmes before transmission and these include musicals’, she added. May D is currently signed to Square Records, which houses and is run by the only other artistes Psquare.

How True is it, Soundtrack video by Mr MayD banned?

There are reports that new P-Square signing, Mr MayD has been hit with Nigeria Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) hammer by banning airplay of his recently released video.

The video, which is titled Soundtrack, was reportedly banned from receiving any airplay on Nigerian TV stations. The reason for the ban, according to reports, is due to some erotic scenes in the music video.

This ban is coming just when there were rumour last year of a ban purportedly placed on D'Banj's Oliver Twist song, which was later denied. When Mr MayD's publicist to confirm the story, he said, "we have been hearing of this ban but we have not received any official letter from NBC to that effect."

Mr MayD became the first artiste to be signed under Square Records. He recently did a collabo with P-Square and Akon in the song, Chop My Money by P-Square. What difference does it make if NBC bans MayD's video while our society is already polluted with such videos

VIDEO: ‘CHOP MY MONEY’ – PSQUARE FEAT AKON, MAY D

We’ve heard the original version off their Invasion album and we love it, well the remix is just as good! Psquare at times look like they can’t do any wrong with their songs (even though we constantly accuse them of sound biting!).

Their recent romance with Konvict Music boss Akon seems to be paying off. When photos from the video shoot of this same song hit the web, it only created more anticipation for the ‘Chop my money’ remix.

The remix which also features Square Record newbie May D has that tingly feel and blended with Akon’s ever melodic crooning, we can say this is another hit!

The video directed by Jude Okoye and Ben Marc is quite interesting – telling a tale of a temptress who dazzles all four guys as she ‘chops’ their money and dumps them.
