Yvonne Nelson Releases Statement On Bleaching Rumor

Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson has time to respond to reports that she's bleaching her skin. See it below...
My attention has been drawn to recent media reports that I am bleaching my skin and the continuous nature of this wicked, unfounded and absolutely unnecessary misinformation have compelled me to once again respond.
These stories are absolutely not true and do not in any way put food on anybody’s table, does not add value to any body’s life and can only be described as mischief.
I fully understand the dangers of skin bleaching and would not engage in any such venture. I am a lady and I appreciate my God-given looks. I do not need to change my skin colour for any reason.

Truth is that even if I was bleaching, I do not owe anyone any explanation, but I am not bleaching, I have not bleached and I won’t bleach.

I love my skin just the way it is and I do my best to keep it healthy and nice.
If God has remained good to me and continues to make my skin nicer, I do not see how it should be a problem to someone.

In a society that largely frowns on skin bleaching, it would be unfair and very unkind to falsely accuse me of bleaching when I am absolutely innocent of that charge.

As an actress I take different pictures under different shades of light and with different shades of makeup depending on what the picture would be used for.

It is therefore not strange to find different pictures of me looking different. It does not mean I am bleaching and one does not need to be an industry player to know this.

Even in movies, depending on who the director is, there are different lighting angles and brightness levels that can be used to make a character look different and this is no secret. Even a change of weather can have an effect of one’s skin.

I want to use this platform to assure all persons who have expressed worry about these reports that there is no cause for alarm because I am not bleaching, have not bleached and would not bleach.

There are more prudent and beneficial things to focus on and these frequent distractions are of no use.

I should have spent this time focusing on my new movies or memorizing my next script and not responding to false gossips.

Thank you.
Sincerely yours,
Yvonne Nelson

Ghollywood Actress Yvonne Nelson Appear On MSN African

She is going to be the first-ever Ghana actress to appear on the Celebrities and Charities Column of the MSN African. The report on her states, "these days, it is common to see celebrities take to one form of charity or the other while maintaining an active career.

In recent times, setting up a charity or a not-for-profit organization to cater for the need of a particular sector of society that is falling short of support has become almost like an in-thing, if not mandatory. Now, the rules of living a buoyant celebrity life is such that a part of what you earn should at least find its way into the hands and mouths of some other people you may not even know but then society demands that you do that.

For those who refuse to be browbeaten into accepting that they must at all cost fend for someone else’s livelihood at one point or the other in their career, are almost viewed with some understandable level of disdain by a larger section, and in most instances declared “celebrity non-grata”.

This is all the more reason why the likes of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt will continue to earn the respect of that larger section of society – because they play by their society’s rules and respect the rule that says, “Live and let live”. With this feat recorded by the leggy queen of Ghollywood, Yvonne Nelson, no doubt, she has stepped up her game fully.

Most Of My People In Ghana Are Kiss-Ass Artistes---Yvonne Nelson

Ghana leggy queen of screen, Yvonne Nelson has charged her colleagues in Ghana to be more vocal. She recently lampooned virtually all the actors and actresses in Ghollywood as boot-lickers who don't know what they want.

Yvonne expressed her disappointment in the way things are done in Ghana movie industry.

Hear her view on the issue, "like I said on Peace FM recently, everybody talks about discipline but then some producers always try to take advantage of artistes. Most of my people in Ghana are kiss-ass artistes. They can’t voice out because they know producers might not call them for jobs again. They just sit down and take anything that comes their way. They just have to treat us right and they would not have problems with anybody. I have shot two movies and I am not even a major producer. I am an actress trying to do this but I do know that if we treat people right, everybody goes away with a happy face. Don’t take advantage of the people you work with."

Some days ago, she was rumoured to be in hot romance with Iyanya. This time, the actress is in the news for publicly displaying her priced gifts, her hot laps and her expensive gold jewellery.

Her hand-chain is customised with her name. You wonder why she is being heavily run after by some men?

Iyanya react romance rumour with actress Yvonne Nelson

The singer and Ghanaian actress were spotted at Elegushi beach last Sunday...and the dating rumour started.

There were even rumours that Yvonne stayed at Iyanya's Lekki home while she was in town last week.

Top Ghanaian Footballer Sponsored Yvonne Nelson’s Two Movies – (Any Hidden Motives)

Yvonne Nelson, who was then a hotcake and one of the favorites of many movie fans until she was lashed with a one year ban from acting by the Film Producers Association of Ghana-FIPAG, has so far produced two movies to her credit.

The first movie which was financed by one of Ghana’s top footballers couldn’t come out because it was stolen from the studio of Afra Marley, the Editor of the movie. The second one which is still in the creative acme is also said to have been financed by the same footballer.

The movie stars top musicians like, Efya, sexy rapper It’s Tiffany, Chris Attoh, Nadia Buari, Eddie Watson, Kofi Adjorlolo, Anita Erskine and new face Kweku Elliot. Although newsmen have not seen the full movie yet, some few minutes teaser we had the privilege of watching did not have any extra ordinary theme or storyline.

It’s the normal banal movies we watch and criticize all the time but, as the saying goes,“when the toad dies we all get to know its full length so let’s give her the benefit of the doubt and just keep our fingers crossed till it’s out”.

Our source closer to the football in question revealed that, the footballer is not really looking at making any profit from sponsoring the movie but rather, to resuscitate Yvonne Nelson’s acting career that appears to be foundering.

The question we at todaysgist are asking is; will a young, moneyed, nice looking and internationally acclaimed footballer sponsor a yummy lady like Yvonne Nelson with over $200,000 without any “hidden motives”? Talk of “hidden motives”, I guess you know what am talking about. There’s no free lunch in today’s world. What do you think?
