Kris Humphries 'demanding $7 million from Kim Kardashian

Kris Humphries is said to be seeking $7 million from Kim Kardashian to avoid a public divorce trial.

The NBA player gave his estranged wife an ultimatum-- pay up or endure a public trial, TMZ is reporting.

According to the website's sources, Humphries made the demand through his Minnesota-based lawyer Lee Hutton.

Not likely: Kim Kardashian's camp has reportedly rejected Kris Humphries $7m divorce demand
But the Kardashian camp immediately rejected Humphries' ultimatum.

There were also rumours that the 27-year-old New Jersey Nets player would be representing himself if the case goes to the trial.

But his representatives say those reports are simply not true.

Humphries was hoping to hire a Minnesota lawyer to handle his divorce case in court.

But California law requires a local lawyer to assist, so Kris was forced to hire a Los Angeles lawyer.

Then, the L.A. lawyer withdrew, leading to reports that Humphries would be representing himself.

But a source told Hollywood Life that those report were completely false.

'He’s simply in the process of changing his L.A. -based attorney. And, his Minnesota-based lawyer, Lee Hutton, will still be the lead attorney anyway in court,' the source told the site.

Downcast Kim Kardashian shows the strain as Kris Humphries fights to prove marriage was a fraud

Kim Kardashian cut a sad figure as she stepped out in Miami yesterday.

The reality TV star was spotted at the Bal Harbour luxury shopping mall in Miami, Florida, yesterday dressed in casual leggings, a grey vest, jacket and flip flops.

She looked decidedly downcast as she strolled through the centre, a sign her ugly split from Kris Humphries is weighing heavily on her.

Kim is said to have offered him a financial settlement in order to get their divorce completed as soon as possible.

But Kris is said to be adamant he doesn't want any money and is determined to pursue his claim to have the divorce granted on the grounds of fraud, arguing that he and Kim married under false pretences.

'Team Humphries has made it crystal clear though that Kris isn't seeking any money from Kim. Kris doesn't want one penny from her.

'His lawyers have said the only terms acceptable for a settlement would be if Kim agrees to Kris' contention that the marriage was a fraud.

The insider added: 'There is a stand-off at this point because Kim will never agree to that, she says the marriage wasn't a fraud. It just didn't work out.'

It was revealed earlier this week that Kris's lawyers want to study video footage from reality show Kourtney and Kim Take New York as an emotional discussion between Kim and her mother Kris Jenner about the marriage is alleged to have taken place on a soundstage in December, two months later than claimed in the show.

Kris's legal team are said to feel this strengthens their claim for the marriage being a fraud.

In the reality show scene, Kim emotionally tells her mother how things are just not turning out how she expected with Kris, while asking for her advice on what to do.

Kim and her mother Kris were spotted leaving a Hollywood TV studio on December 6 with the 31-year-old socialite wearing the same outfit and hairstyle as she does in the scene.

Her mother Kris was photographed following her daughter out of the studio, with an assistant carrying the purple kaftan-style dress she wears in the scene, shot in the back of a limo.

Kris cited fraud as his official response to Kim's divorce petition - in his bid to seek an annulment instead - and wants his lawyer to question his estranged wife, her mother and staff from the show over the scenes, RadarOnline reported yesterday.

A source told the website: 'Kris feels that if this is true and the whole conversation was faked, this would help prove that he got married under fraudulent circumstances.

'Yes, this did occur after the marriage, but this is one clear example that could help sway the judge to grant the divorce on the grounds of fraud.'

During the scene, Kim tells her momanger Kris: 'Married life just isn't what I thought it would be with him.

Snoop Dogg launches crude attack on Kim Kardashian

Justify Full

Snoop Dogg launched an foul-mouthed attack on Kim Kardashian in a new web video.
The 40-year-old rapper, who uses his Nemo pseudonym in the clip, calls the 31-year-old 'cold blooded' and uses a series of misogynist terms to describe her.

In the video, which is running on the Hollywood Reporter, he claims to be giving 'advice' to her ex husband Kris Humphries, telling him he’s just one of many men who have be burnt by the reality TV star.

He name checks her other exes Reggie Bush and Ray J, the man with whom she made a notorious s*x tape.

He claims Kris made the mistake by marrying Kim in the first plac,You shouldn't have tried to wife the b****,' he says while smoking what appears to be a blunt, which is a cigar hollowed out and filled with marijuana.

'She’s cold-blooded, I’m pretty sure she’ll have a book in a month talking about all the n****s that she got and how she played them,'

He continues: 'So, my advice is you can’t make a ho a housewife. Don’t try to reinvent the wheel.'

He makes several other crude references to the star.
It is unclear why Snoop Dogg decided to record the video and a spokesperson for Kim had no comment.

But Kim may be too busy celebrating to let it get her down - she has just won a recurring role on a TV show.

She will appear in the fourth season of drama-comedy Drop Dead Diva - which stars Brooke D'Orsay as a lawyer who has inhabited the soul of a dead supermodel - and will begin production next month.

She is in line play Nikki, who is a love interest for Ben Feldman's alter-ego Fred, and her character is set to go into business with Stacy, who is played by former Two and a Half Men beauty April Bowlby.

Kim wrote on her blog: 'I am so excited to announce that I'll be guest starring on 'Drop Dead Diva' this summer. I can't wait to get to work with everyone on set!'

'Kim burst into tears watching Kris Humphries's behaviour and how he talks about her family

Kim Kardashian was 'mortified' after watching back footage of Kris Humphries from the upcoming season of her new reality show.

The 31-year-old reality star was apparently in tears as she watched the camera reel - and was upset by Kris's behaviour and the way he talked about her and her family.

Kourtney & Kim Take New York - a spin-off of Keeping Up With The Kardashians - finished filming in mid October, just two weeks before Kim announced she was divorcing Kris after just 72 days of marriage.

The show, which begins airing on E! from November 17, will chart the breakdown of the couple's marriage.

According to Radar, Kim has viewed all the footage and has editorial control of what is shown - despite not being an executive producer.

A source told celebrity website Radar: 'It was hard for Kim to watch all the footage, she has been unable to review it without bursting into tears.
She was absolutely mortified when she saw on camera, the way that Kris was treating her.

'The marriage was already under a tremendous amount of stress, but she just couldn't believe that she had married this man that was treating her and her family like this.'

According to the source, Kim decided to end the marriage after the final edits had be made - but didn't tell E! producers until the day she filed for divorce - October 31.

No doubt viewer will see Kim's version of how her marriage came to pass when the show starts airing - but unflattering footage of her will not be shown, Radar reports.

Fans have been given a glimpse of the tension between the couple in a teaser trailer which was released earlier this month.

Kim Kardashian hires acting coach for movie role

Can an acting coach save Kim Kardashian? The socialite has hired famed acting coach Susan Batson to help her in Tyler Perry's upcoming flick, 'The Marriage Counselor'.

The hire was made in hopes that Kim K won't bomb during the film due to her recent troubles.

With her life in a difficult place, Kim K is afraid her emotions will show through her character.

With the divorce from Kris Humphries, her sisters turning against her and other troubles, her role could be in jeopardy

. As reported earlier, many Tyler Perry fans did not want Kim in the film in the first place, now, some fans are campaigning to get her removed from the film.

Batson is the coach of stars like Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, Liv Tyler, and Jennifer Connolly. Let's see if the

Kim Kardashian Is 'Not My Girl

Kim Kardashian has remained relatively low-profile since announcing her split from Kris Humphries last week.

Aside from doing a bit of press for her handbag line in Australia, Kardashian has mostly shied away from any big sit-downs about filing for divorce.

But while the reality starlet's friends and family have been supportive, one of Kim's fellow E! staples is not exactly offering a shoulder to cry on.

Talk show host Chelsea Handler seemed to want to distance herself from her network sister when MTV News caught up with her at the Glamour Women of the Year event in New York on Monday. "She's not my girl, by the way. She's more your girl than my girl, by the way," she deadpanned. "Luckily, I don't work at the [E!] building, so I don't have to hang out with the Kardashians."

Outspoken TV host Wendy Williams didn't have any particular advice for the divorcing Kardashian, but she hoped Kim would be more public about addressing the breakup news.

"You know, Kris [Jenner], we had her mother on the show last week — one thing I have to say about Kris is she never flinched at any of the questions that I asked," Williams said. "She answered all of them to the best of her ability, and I appreciated that.

With that said, I think that it's kind of rotten and immature that Kim couldn't have done her own perp walk. And I understand [that Kris is] the one behind the machine, but maybe they could have done it together or they could have worked a couple different shows at the same time as opposed to running across the other side of the world, where perhaps softballs were [lobbed] at Kris or Kim."

Kim Kardashian Must Pay Kris Humphries To Keep Her Engagement Ring

She may have been spotted in Australia without it, but Kim Kardashian is dead-set on keeping her giant diamond engagement ring.

TMZ.com reports that the reality starlet's pre-nup may prevent her from keeping the 20.5 carat ring presented to her by now-estranged husband, Kris Humphries. Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries on October 31 after 72 days of marriage.

According to TMZ.com, Kim included a clause in her pre-nup that requires her to buy back the ring from Kris for its original price if the two divorce. Without the clause, it seems, Kim would have been allowed to keep the ring, no payment necessary.

Kris Jenner, for one, thinks the ring should remain Kim's free of charge. The Kardasian "momager" appeared on "Fox and Friends" on Thursday, declaring, "That's between them -- a gift is a gift. If you look at the etiquette books, it says keep a present."

But the New York Post says Kim is willing to pay in order to keep her beloved bling, which reportedly cost Humphries a cool $2 million.

Luckily, Kim earned over $14.5 million from the wedding itself... although we're guessing this wasn't how she planned on spending the cash.

Kim Kardashian Sued For Impending Divorce By Fan

Delaney said on Tuesday that while he has never filed a lawsuit before, he is feeling confident via the support he's received since announcing his plans to sue over Kardashian's impending divorce from Kris Humphries.

"I've never sued anyone before. I've never been sued, but I'm against frivolous lawsuits, of course," he said. "It took something deadly serious for me to come out of the woodwork and mount this case.

Ever since I announced, I've had numerous lawyers offer their support pro bono, and in America, you can kind of do whatever you want with the law. Michelle Bachmann is a lawyer, the Supreme Court decided [the presidency] in 2000, so there's a tradition here that I feel supports me. The Supreme Court, for example would be behind me."

And although Delaney has plenty of supporters, there are also those who might accuse him of grandstanding for publicity purposes and hitching his cause to a media storm. Delaney has a thoughtful response to the naysayers:

"Are people accusing me of [staging] a PR stunt? Absolutely, and that's valid. When I hear that, I'm not like, 'What are you talking about?' I get it. I'm a comedian, and this is happening on a television, so sure, I'm happy to draw attention to it, but if the comedy were chocolate, because we just had Halloween, the coating, the nougat of this matter is my true love for humanity and Kim Kardashian herself," he promised. "Again, I don't hate her, I want her to be married and happy, and I desire for American people to have better television to watch."

All things considered, Delaney's case is a bit grandiose. It's very likely that even the most skilled lawyers would not have very high hopes for his chances at a victory or acknowledgment in court. This is a fact Delaney knows full well but hopes his crusade might help just one person change his/her television viewing habits.

"I'm not totally insane, so I know that this might not come to fruition exactly how I envision it," he said. "But if we can get a few more people, if we can get a 12-year-old girl watching ['Keeping Up With the Kardashians'] to think, 'You know what? Kim Kardashian is a very awful role model and I shouldn't watch that show.' Literally, if one girl in, let's say, North Dakota, sees this and says that, then we won. That's worth more than $18 million, certainly."

Kris Jenner reveals her daughter Kim Kardashian will keep hold of $2m diamond wedding ring

Her marriage lasted just 72 days, but Kim Kardashian is set to keep her $2 million engagement ring.

NBA star Kris Humphries was hoping to get the 20.5 carat diamond back from his now estranged wife, according to sources.

However, Kim's mother and manager Kris Jenner, 55, has nixed the idea.

'It’s a gift - you keep a gift,' Jenner, the shrewd matriarch of the Kardashian clan, told Good Morning America while promoting her new memoir.

The phrase, which is considered by some to be offensive to American Indians, describes a person who gives a present and later wants it back.

And the comment has enraged many, with a spokesperson for the largest American Indian and Alaska Native organization in the country, The National Congress of American Indians labeling the remark ‘wrong and hurtful.’

Jenner hopes her daughter will soon heal from her heartache.
'Kim hasn’t been the Kim I know,' Jenner said. 'She seemed worried, not her happy self. I want Kim back - I want her to be happy.'

Jenner has previously insisted that reports of Kim making a large profit from the wedding - a rumoured $10 million - were false.

In a message on her blog on Tuesday, Kim said she 'donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.'

Kim today cut short her money-spinning visit to Australia to deal with the fall-out from the split.
The reality TV star pulled out of a lucrative appearance at an Australian horse racing event at the 11th hour and will jet back to the U.S. today.

The 31-year-old was set to attend the Swisse vitamins marquee at Saturday's Stakes Day as part of Melbourne's annual spring carnival.

Gone in 72 days: Kim with Kris Humphries - and her ring - at her 31st birthday celebration in New York last month

Kim Kardashian apologizes to fans for failed marriage, says she didn't make millions on it

Kim Kardashian says she never meant to hurt anyone by ending her marriage after just 72 days.

The 31-year-old reality TV star posted a message to her fans on her website Tuesday, one day after filing for divorce from pro basketball player Kris Humphries, whom she married in a lavish ceremony that aired as a two-hour TV special on E!

Kardashian says that while she "married for love" and "would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show," she admits that she "got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show."

"When I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn't know how to and I didn't want to disappoint a lot of people," she writes.

Kardashian says she takes "full responsibility for my actions and decisions," adding "it just didn't turn out to be the fairy tale I had so badly hoped for."

"I want a family and babies and a real life so badly that maybe I rushed into something too soon," she says.

Kardashian and Humphries dated for nine months before marrying in August.
She goes on to say that reports that she made millions of dollars off the wedding "are simply not true and it makes me so sad to have to even clarify this." Twitter and Facebook were filled with anti-Kardashian sentiments on Tuesday, including some photos that were reposted thousands of times.

One photo showed the happy wedding couple gazing adoringly at each other above large type that read, "If you think gay marriage cheapens the institution, two words ... Kim Kardashian."
In her post, Kardashian says she plans to "donate the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation."

The couple's $172,000 wedding registry included such items as a $1,650 coffee pot and two $1,250 sterling silver vegetable spoons.

Kardashian does not mention Humphries, who last played for the NBA's New Jersey Nets, in the 370-word message.

'Kim didn't make a dime out of her wedding,' claims her mother Kris Jenner

Kim Kardashian didn't earn a single cent from her marriage to Kris Humphries - or so her mother would have us believe.

The 55-year-old took to the airwaves today to defend her daughter amid mounting speculation the 'fairytale wedding' was nothing but a publicity stunt to boost the Kardashian coffers.

The entire fanfare reportedly generated a staggering £18m in magazine and television deals, plus endorsements.

But Jenner dubiously claims Kim shelled out millions of dollars of her own and 'didn't earn a dime'.

The mother of six and manager of her family brand found time to discuss the debacle while plugging her new book, Kris Jenner... And All Things Kardashian, on the Johnjay and Rich In The Morning radio show today.

Addressing reports that the lavish Montecito nuptials on August 20 saw Kim earn a fortune, Jenner said: 'The one thing that is the most annoying is the rumour that she made millions off of this wedding.

'She didn’t make a dime and, actually, spent millions of dollars on the wedding - so it’s not something that she thought would ever not be happily ever after.'

Kim filed for divorce from Humphries yesterday after just 72 days of marriage.
Their short union has drawn criticism far and wide, from fellow celebrities to Twitter users convinced the entire wedding a cynical business endeavour.

Sources close to Kim and Kris have also revealed the nuptials were a hoax, according to RadarOnline.com.

But in an attempt to fan the flames, Jenner insisted she was proud of her daughter for making such a 'difficult' decision.

How Kim Kardashian used her short-lived marriage to Kris Humphries to rake in the cash

As the dust settles on the announcement that Kim Kardashian is to divorce her husband of just 72 days, the inevitable questions arise.

But whereas most celebrity splits are dogged by rumours of affairs, the debate raging around Kim's split is of a strangely fiscal nature.

Cyberspace is awash with analysis of the nature of this short-lived union, was it doomed love or a cynical money making ploy?

Still wearing the bling: Kim, with sisters Khloe and Kourtney, had her engagement and wedding rings in place on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night
Kim's decision to file papers against Kris today, just hours before her mother's book, Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian, goes on sale tomorrow, could certainly be viewed as a calculated move.

And today, as soon as she woke up, Kim promoted the family's new clothes store on Twitter, only later being drawn upon for a statement about the breakdown of her marriage.
In a tweet that many of her fans will find cold and inappropriate.

It's a miscalculation of tone that Kim might live to regret, as fans begin to question the reality behind her family's money-spinning soap opera.

Was it ever love? This is the moment when fans wept to see Kim find happiness, but now they doubt it
Whatever the truth, there is no doubting the fact that 31-year-old Kim's marriage has been lucrative for the Kardashian family.
And for that matter, the abandoned spouse, Kris Humphries, 26.

The wedding, which would've cost the couple $10 million if they'd had to pay for their freebies, netted a whopping $18 million.

'This was not an easy decision': Kim Kardashian files for divorce from Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage (that's $250,000 earned every 24 hours)

Telling all! Kris Jenner dishes the dirt on her Kardashian kids in new memoir and zeroes in on old friendship with O.J. Simpson

A huge chunk of that - around $15 million - is thought to have been TV rights which formed part of the family's exclusive deal with E!

Whatever the exact breakdown, their marriage ending now means that the whole haul has earned the couple about $250,000 per day.

The happy couple also bagged $1 million from People magazine for exclusive shots of the apparently joyous occasion.

That's not to include the value of the numerous other magazine covers that have added grist to the mill of the Kardashian publicity machine.

Even before the big day, Kim was paid $500,000 to host her bachelorette party at Tao in Las Vegas.
But then, however heartbroken he is, Kris has benefitted hugely.

He was earning around $40,000 per game but since marrying Kim, has been hitting the quarter of a million mark each day.
This is sure to be a loss he feels keenly.

Especially as Kim seems determined to sever ties sharply and swiftly.
E! report that alongside the prenuptial agreement she put in place, the brunette wants property separated immediately, and for each party to pay their own legal fees.

She listed 'miscellaneous jewellery and other personal effects' as well as 'earrings and accumulations' amassed before, during and after her marriage to be confirmed as separate property but no word on whether that includes her $2 million, 20.5-carat diamond ring.
It's a businesslike approach that's typical of the Kardashian model.

Momager: Kris Jenner is the driving force behind the Kardashian empire
After Kim started the day with her advert for their latest enterprise, Kris Jenner waded in with her own promo, for both QVC AND her book.

She wrote on her Twitter: 'How fab is this sequin top I'll be selling at QVC tonight??! Just like the one I'm wearing on my memoir cover!!!'
Meanwhile Kourtney changed the subject with: 'Happy Halloween! I am ready for costumes and trick or treating!'

Their incongruous tweets stood out in the tidal wave of commentary on the showbiz story of the day.

One fan who tweets as Bookgirl96 summed up the prevailing mood when she wrote: 'The Kim Kardashian definition of 'forever' is 'when the check is cashed.'

It was referring to the tellingly passionless statement that Kim eventually released: 'I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.'
Other insiders have revealed the entire wedding was a sham.

'It was pretty much an arranged marriage right from the start,' one source, close to the Keeping Up With The Kardashians production told RadarOnline.com.
'Kim was looking for a husband and Kris was selected for her, amongst others. She wasn’t really into him but she hoped she would be able to develop some feelings, but it never happened.'

Kim even celebrated her 31st birthday last month with Kris in New York
'The Kardashians have always been uniquely open with all aspects of their lives from joyous events to intimate moments to heartbreaking transitions.

E! will continue to share the fascinating real lives and larger-than-life existence of this close-knit family.'

The network's urge to protect their golden goose's integrity is understandable.
Four million viewers watched the original wedding special, and 900,000 are estimated to have tuned into each repeat.

The end: Kris and Kim were grim-faced after a meal on Thursday night, this was the last time they were seen together

But the Kardashians appeal rests upon their viewers feeling that they are allowed an honest, almost voyeuristic, glimpse into this gilded world.

If fans believe their emotional connection is being exploited, it's likely they'll turn off in their droves.

The machinations of 'momager' Kris Jenner are well documented but if it's starting to look like the hapless Kris was co-opted into her plans purely because he plays basketball and has the initial 'K,' her matriarchal bossiness could be viewed as calculated exploitation.

So with Kim and Kourtney Take New York premiering on November 27, in which the short-lived romance will be documented, Kim needs to convince her pay-masters that there were hearts in her almond eyes at one point, and not just dollar signs.

Kim Kardashian and her husband Kris Humphries are said to be headed for a divorce

They have been married just eight short weeks but their marriage is said to be crumbling. And despite newlyweds Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries stepping out for a double date last night, it has been revealed that the basketball star has been dropped by Kim's agent.

A source close to the Kardashian camp has told MailOnline that Kim's team at William Morris Endeavor Entertainment is not representing the 26-year-old anymore and says there are no plans to feature the couple together on a reality show.

This news gives further weight to reports that the couple are headed for a divorce. A source close to the couple has told MailOnline: ‘I don’t know when they’ll announce the split or why they got married in the first place

On show: Both Kim and Kris has their rings on show despite claims they have split up ‘They are divorcing. They haven’t been together for a month and while Kim has been staying in New York she has been staying in a hotel room which Kris has failed to visit.’

Star magazine which recently broke the news of Demi Moore's marriage woes has reported that Kim may have already consulted a 'top divorce lawyer'. The magazine claims that Humphries has been spotted partying in both Miami and New York without Kim, getting flirty with multiple women and 'acting like a single man.'

While U.S. magazine Life & Style alleges that on a recent trip to Toronto, Humphries contacted his ex-girlfriend, Bianka Kamber. The magazine also spoke to a "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" producer who said: 'Kim's mapping out 2012, including holidays, and Kris isn't a part of it.

Any itineraries for the future don't include Kris very much.' A spokesperson for the couple was unavailable for comment earlier today.

However, the pair tried to put a brave face on the reports and dined out with Kim’s sister Kourtney and her boyfriend Scott at Hurricane Club in New York last night.

But while the eldest Kardashian sister and her boyfriend were seen firmly holding hands Kim and Kris were not so tactile and appeared glum as they arrived at the eatery. Kim was dressed in a monochrome ensemble wearing a white dress with a black belt and hounds-tooth print tights. The reality star, who returned from Dubai on Sunday, covered up in a furry black coat.

Yet despite the claims their marriage is over Kim,30, was still wearing her huge rock of an engagement ring and the basketball star was also wearing his wedding ring, even though he has been seen without in regularly in recent weeks.

The pair were seen leaving the restaurant holding hands, their left hands, with their wedding rings on display for photographers. Kim and Kris, who married in a lavish wedding in August have spent considerable time apart since becoming man and wife owing to Kim's hectic schedule.

Despite Kris currently having considerable free time on his hands thanks to the NBA lock-out, he didn't accompany his wife to Dubai, with Kim heading to the United Arab Emirates with her mother Kris instead. Last night the basketball star failed to accompany his wife on the red carpet toe Game Changers Gala at Skylight SoHo in Manhattan. Before the red carpet event the pair were seen together enjoying an early dinner.

KIM KARDASHIAN AND HUBBY SPEND HONEYMOON IN $3,300-A-NIGHT HOTEL

After a fabulous wedding that held last month, August 20, 2011, Kim Kardashian and her new hubby Kris Humphries travelled to Hotel Santa Caterina on Italy’s Amalfi Coast to spend their honeymoon.

Hotel Santa Caterina Santa charges $3,300 for a night but the newlywed couple couldn’t seem to be bothered as exclusive pictures show them enjoying every moment of the holiday spending time away together under the sun and in each other’s arms.

They only had eyes for each other…They were in their own little world‘, The honeymoon was actually a surprise for Kim, as she had thought they would celebrate next year, due to Kim’s work commitments.
