DON JAZZY UNVEILS NEW PRODUCT FOR SAMSUNG
It’s not up to a week since Don Jazzy announced his leaving Mo’Hits label but he’s already moving on with his career. The hit producer just yesterday Thursday, March 23, 2012 in South Africa helped launch a series of new products from popular electronics company Samsung.

Kenya’s Alan Oyier and Don Jazzy walked up to the stage to unveil the new product. Don Jazzy had helped design the new Afro pop range of Hi-Fi units some time ago.
We tried reaching the producer for comments but as at the time of this report, he had yet to reply our mails. But those close to him tell us the Samsung deal had been on before the Mo’Hits break-up, and that the producer was ‘handsomely paid’. ‘I can’t tell you how much he was paid. But trust me it’s mouth-watering’, an insider who knows the details of the deal told us this afternoon.
The four-day conference tagged Samsung Africa Forum started on Thursday, March 22 and will end on Friday, march 25, 2012.
Don Jazzy Finalize Arrangement To Unveil His Own Record Label
The recent announcement that Nigeria’s most celebrated entertainer Don Jazzy, chief executive of Mo’Hit records and his partner D’Banj, the number one musician on the label, have parted ways, has left most Nigerians still reeling in shock.
Most people are yet to come to terms with the development as the broken down relationship many thought was made by the gods was untouchable.
Their decision to part ways was something our source said was agreed upon by the two former pals.
It was taken long before the deal by D’Banj, Don Jazzy and Kanye West’s GOOD music was sealed.
The lack of a business structure in Mo’Hit records made the company the butt of a joke especially in the international business community. Everything seemed to revolve around D’Banj alone.
It was becoming increasingly difficult for both to continue as partners because Don Jazzy who doubles as the label’s producer was having difficulties controlling D’Banj who was also a partner in the business.
Conflicts often arose in the house because of the seeming financial gap between D’Banj and other artistes on the label.
This grossly affected the business and also contributed to the duo relocating to the Island leaving the other artistes at their former abode in Maryland, Lagos.
The situation between the two deepened to a point where other artistes on the label were made to look ordinary.
Often, Don Jazzy faced an uphill task convincing other Mo’Hit records sign-on like Wande Coal, Dr. Sid and The Prince that he (Don Jazzy) was as committed to their career as he was to D’Banj’s.
Several newspapers in the past had talked about the situation but the record company through their managers had often denied having conflicts in the house.
The recording of a promotion song for President Goodluck Jonathan by D’Banj, was the icing on the cake as Nigerians descended on the Mo’Hit crew and accusing them of a sell out.
During the protest against government decision to remove subsidy on petrol, Nigerians took to the internet, calling for the head of D’Banj.
Don Jazzy desperate to protect his record company, quickly disassociated it from a sell-out. He went as far as tweeting on the wall of his Twitter that he regretted ever associating with the President.
To crown it all, D’Banj was no where to be found when the heat was turned on his partners.
Don Jazzy has since moved out of the mansion they once shared in Lekki Phase 1 and he’s currently squatting with Dr Sid at 1004, the same estate that Wande Coal lives on Victoria Island.
As at the time of filing in our story, Don Jazzy may have finalised arrangement to unveil his own record label which sources say will be structured in a way no one musician will hold sway.

I Dont Belong To ILLUMINATTI
Star music producer and Mo’Hits Records boss, Don Jazzy, has denied ever been a member of the powerful global fraternity, Illuminati. He described as spoof the stories that himself and the Mo’Hits team, are new recruits into the Illuminati cult.
Don Jazzy, in response to the speculations, makes the rebuttal in a no-hold barred interview with the music magazine, HipHop World.
The award winning producer said that was the ‘dumbest story’ he ever read in his entire life. “I know the first thing is to put God first. I am not Illuminati or anything. I did not join any secret cult. You people did not even dash me Ogboni first or Eiye or anything; you just say Illuminati straight. It does not make any sense. I don’t even know who those people are in the first place. I believe in God and I have never done juju of any sort,” Don Jazzy said.
While the rumour mill ascribes Don Jazzy and his Mo’Hits crew’s source of success to the cult, in the contrary, Don Jazzy said his sources of success have been God and hard work. He claimed that he also tries as much as possible to be himself as a music producer.
“If I’m doing a beat and it doesn’t come out right, I am not afraid to delete and start again. I take my time to make sure the beat sounds proper before I put it,” he said.
I guess this should now put to an end all the conspiracy theories of a new inspired illuminati Don Jazzy.

After being silent for over week (last tweet was Jan 3rd) while the protests were ongoing, hit maker Don Jazzy came on twitter today to make his feelings known about the suspension of the strike. He tweeted..

DON JAZZY’S PARENTS CELEBRATE 30TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY
Parents to Nigerian hit producer and Mo’Hits boss Michael Ajereh Collins a.k.a Don Jazzy recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary and what better way to do that than spend the night watching their sons performing LIVE!
Ireland-based Mr and Mrs Collins attended KOKO Concert which held at the Expo Hall of the Eko Hotel on Tuesday December 27, 2011.
The couple sat close to the stage and applauded anytime their sons Don Jazzy and D’Prince came on stage.
During the elaborate concert, Don Jazzy would go over to his parents VVIP table for what looked like a tete-a-tete, before running off backstage. Their other son ‘Jay’ also sat close to them throughout the show.D’banj broke the news while performing on stage.
WHY WANDE COAL'S ALBUM IS NOT OUT-DON JAZZY
Contrary to the rumour that Wande Coal is being prevented from releasing his second album,Don Jazzy,the CEO of Mo-hits,who hardly talks,broke his silence on why Wande Coal’s album is not released and debunked the tale that the artist will soon quit Mo-hits.It is not something I decide on my own.We all seat,plan and study the market so as to know what to give our fans at a point in time.We always reason together before we take any decision.As for Wande Coal’s album,there was nothing like that.What happened was that we are following the time-table.
D’Banj was supposed to have released his album but delayed because of this new deal with Kanye West.We don’t want to release it and my new boss(Kanye West) will say it is only appealing to African fans because they know the international market more than we do.
I am sure wande has not gone to any radio or TV station to complain that he’s been deprived of releasing his album because he personally decided to chill(step aside) for D’Prince to release.
I want to tell our fans that Wande Coal is working on his album and still touring African countries.The level of acceptability of his shows globally has not reduced and people still dance to Bumper-to-Bumper and other songs in his album.
The album is not ripe to be released and by the time it is ready,you’ll see the best of Wande Coal
