 On TIME’s cover this week would be an unlikely icon: Hollywood actress Laverne Cox who was born a man and according to her, she was bullied and harassed for appearing feminine while growing up.

 Eventually, Laverne came out as transgender while living in New York City and she's now a star on the Netflix drama Orange Is the New Black.

Meet The Most Influential People On Earth By Time Magazine

 Record breaking singer Beyonce is on the cover of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People issue. She tops this year's list of the 100 Most Influential people in the world, joining heads of states and civil activists.

 Nigeria's Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and billionaire businessman Aliko Dangote and eight other Africans made the list which was released today. 

The list also includes President Obama, Chile President Michelle Bachelet, US Secretary of State John Kerry, Pharrell, Kerry Washington, Serena Williams, Cristiano Ronaldo, Vladmir Putin and many others. see full list here
