Nigeria's Got Talent: The stiff competition begins

It’s been endless weeks of production, traveling, screening and work nonstop for the Nigeria’s Got Talent team. And as the show kicks into full gear, producers of the show at Rapid Blue Format have announced that viewers should be ready for a new phase in the Nigeria’s Got Talent experience. 

“The semi final stage will see contestants perform to the judges and the audience on a big stage,. This phase will start with the 50 contestants the judges’ selected last week and end with 10 contestants.” Adaora Mbelu Project Manager at Rapid Blue Format disclosed.

This Sunday, the show finally entered the semi final stage as ten contestants from all age groups performed in front of the judges for the second time. 

“Nigeria is a unique country, and we have a whole lot of talent, what we saw in the previous episode is something that is going to get bigger” Yibo Koko, one of the judges said. 

The first group includes Impulse (Singing group), Clymaxx (Dance group), John Uket (Singer), Udezeagwua Ezedi (Musician), Vicky Mark (Singer) and Adult Babies (Variety Acts)

Others are Olayemi John- Lil P (Singer), DNA Crew (Dance group) and Bariyu (Variety Act).

Nigeria's Got Talent:Kate Henshaw shows emotions as auditions come to an end

This Sunday, we saw actress Kate Henshaw in a new light, as the biggest talent show hit Benin, Abuja and Calabar. “I’m just so emotional. I didn’t give you a chance, I judged by what I saw, it’s there I am sorry” she says to twenty six years old Jude James in Benin amidst tears.

The attendance in Benin, Abuja and Calabar was massive, the talents were impressive, and for the talentless? It was an easy task to show them the door.


“I know Nigeria’s Got Talents, but this is torture” Dan Foster says to a group from Abuja, “I hated it, every bit of it” Henshaw on the other hand was quick to say to Forty Eight years old Ndanyomo Ogbonnaya. 

“The content you have is so bland and tasteless, even underground average, you no reach” Yibo Koko says to Peter Nweke

All over the world talents in search of the big break scramble to audition for The Got Talent series. And as a matter of fact we should be expecting more with Nigeria’s Got Talent. Watch Nigeria's Got Talent First Episode With Kate Henshaw(VIDEO)

Nigeria’s Got Talent the Nigerian Version of famed talent show “Got Talent” premiered yeterday (Sunday) on local TV stations across Nigeria. 

This is the 1st season of the show histed bt Andre Blaze with Nollywood Superstar Kate Henshaw, OAP Dan Foster and, film maker Yibo Koko on judging duities for the new show.
