Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo, who many people know as D’Banj, has since his break into the Nigerian music scene in 2005, managed to live a scandal free life.
Not many believed that he would go this far in the razzmatazz world especially with his introduction of the word, Koko, which many have given many meanings to, without leaving a life full of scandals and many girls coming up to him with contours ranging from one to nine metres above the sea level around the stomach area, like his master in the game.
To the disappointment of critics, there has not been any case of a lady getting the contours via Bluetooth from the Kokomaster himself, even though he is swamped around them like ants do to sugar.
The only time he was romantically linked to a lady was with Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji, who featured in his Fall in love video. Many saw that as just a publicity stunt to sell the video and nothing more than that.
But if information flinging into Newsmen ears by a bird in the know is anything to go by, then the CEO of Koko lounge, Koko water and mobile phones, Oladapo Banjo, will finally tied the knot next year.
According to what we were hinted by a reliable source close to D’Banj, there have been pressure from D’Banj’s mum to bring home a responsible lady as wife.
“Her mum has tried talking to D’Banj to quickly settle down. This issue arose from the point where his son was romantically linked with Genevieve, which she was not happy about.
“D’Banj’s mum wants his son to continue to live a responsible and scandal free life, and as it is, he might marry a lady from Winners Chapel. That is where her mum really wants him to take his wife from,” the source said.
Though the G.O.O.D Music Artiste had opted to concentrate on his musical career, but as it is now, he may have succumbed to his mother’s pressure to marry and might take the bold step of walking to the aisle anytime next year.
Though we tried to know if D’Banj has finally gotten the lucky lady in Winners Chapel to marry, but our informant refused to disclose that to us. D’Banj will be 32 by June next year.
