The third edition of the South-South Music Awards (SSMA) will hold on Sunday, December 4, 2011 and organizers have announced nominees for this year’s edition.The nominees have been fielded in a total of 20 categories and in addition, two ‘Honorary Life-Time Achievement Awards’ will also be given out.
‘The South-South Region has an abundance of fast growing musical artistes who year-in and year-out work tirelessly to create music and entertain. Their effort should be encouraged’, organizer of the awards, Andy Bello tells Nigerian Entertainment Today.
The Oba Akenzua Cultural Centre in Benin City will play host to this year’s edition.
The first edition of the awards was held on the 20th of December 2009, at the Civic Centre, Benin City.
