Busta Rhymes and Mystikal have found a new home at Cash Money Records. Busta confirmed the news at the Google Music launch.
"I'm extremely proud to be aligned with Cash Money," says Busta.
He also touched on the nature of deal, a joint venture with Google Music. "It's an unbelievably groundbreaking deal, [there's] never been a deal done like this before, where the most powerful search engine in the world combines with the most powerful record company in the world."
Busta and Mystikal join a star-stuffed YMCMB team that includes superstars Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. And don't forget about Bow Wow and Cory Gunz.
Wasting no time at all, Busta toasted the new deal by serving up a new track, "Why Stop Now," which features Chris Brown. The song is the lead single from his upcoming album, E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) 2: End of the World.
Busta says he wanted to ride the momentum of "Look at Me Now," his popular collabo with Breezy. "Me and Chris Brown started off 2011 with "Look At Me Now" and we had such a phenomenal year, it was only right to me that we did a record called 'Why Stop Now' at the end of 2011."
