I Was Chased Out Of Nollywood – Actress Stephanie Oduenyi

The Nigerian movie industry called Nollywood is one regarded by some people as very scandalous. Some parents have even vowed never to allow their children delve into the industry because of the various negative reports that are unleashed regularly from the industry.

For an up and coming fashion star named Stephanie Oduenyi, she was pushed out of Nollywood by her ‘shyness’, having only featured in three films, which she did not even know whether they were later released by the producers. 

Stephanie, who was at an event recently held in Lagos, in a recent interview about how she found love in fashion. The lady, a gorgeous plus-size lady, stormed the event in a beautiful short dress she designed by herself.

A first glance at Stephanie shows a picture of a movie star, unfortunately, the damsel could not make name for herself in that industry. 

Stephanie graduated from Madonna University-Okija Anambra State and she is presently the CEO of ‘Makani Couture’. She has been in the fashion industry for two-and-a half years. Her collection she says speaks volume about how a woman should embrace her curves no matter her size.

Nollywood Director Says No Big Deal In Directos Sleeping With Actresses

Nollywood director, Aniedi Awah Nova in a recent interview says he doesn't see anything wrong in directors sleeping with actresses as there is no big deal in it.The director who is always behind the scene hence his name might not likely ring a bell said it all comes down to mutual understanding between two adults:

"Anybody can sleep with anybody anywhere in the world as far as it’s an agreeable venture. So, if I'm a director and I see an actress and I say I want to sleep with you and the actress agrees, I don't see anything wrong with that," he said.

He however said that where it becomes bad is when I say I will not give you a job until I sleep with you. Now, we over-flog this issue of directors sleeping with actresses. A man will meet a woman anywhere, any day and they will sleep with each other. Let anybody sleep with anybody they want, life goes on. Let’s just do the work”.

NOLLYWOOD ACTOR,EMEKA IKE FAILED HIS IBO KINSMEN

Nollywood star,Emeka Ike is one fine actor whom his fans believe is gifted on interpretation of roles and his movies are viewed with great respect and many are proud of him as an Igbo great son.

But not long ago,on Monday February 13 2012 to be precise at exactly 7.50pm,Emeka while speaking on Nigerian Television Lagos(NTA) failed to prove that he is truly an Igbo by birth.

According to many viewers that watched the Igbo language programme called “Ugwumba” presented by Mike Onovo,Emeka totally murdered the Igbo language as he could not make a complete sentence in Igbo for a minute,throughout the time the presenter interviewed him.

Some concerned fans said that it’s a great shame that this Nollywood act whose name is totally Igbo was only answering all the questions put to him in Igbo with what can be termed “Engligbo” (adulterated Igbo with English Language).

One of the fans lamented to us that what pained him most was that Emeka is claiming to be holding a chieftaincy title and he is wondering how a star like this should not be ashamed of himself for his inability to speak his mother tongue even when he was on air speaking on important national issues, as it concerned Igbo interest.

The fan further lambasted Emeka saying that if the Indians born here in Nigeria can speak their Hindi perfectly like the Hausas who were born here in Lagos,that Emeka had no excuse and that if he does want to lose the respect they have for him should enroll himself into an Igbo language school or change his name for something that has nothing to do with the Igbo language.

Fight Between Rita Dominic And Ini Edo Gets Messier

The cold war brewing between two hot Nollywood actresses, Ini Edo-Ehiagwina and Rita Dominic, may not be over soon as expected going by the latest development.

According to an industry source, who divulge this gist to newsmen, the two thespians may still keep status quo on what is between them for as long as no one knows.

We learnt that a peace and reconciliation meeting was initiated some days ago by some friends of the two actresses, who were not happy at their enemity, but were further disappointed when the meeting did not hold as scheduled.

As we were informed, both Rita and Ini didn't show up for the peace and reconciliation meeting put up by their friends in of the regular joints in Lagos.

According to the source, Rita gave an excuse of being busy with her movie, The Meeting, while Ini said she was attending to some indispensable functions.

The fight between them got messier late last year when Rita went to twitter to point out an overnight abnormality in a voting system for who to be the best actress for an award.

The beef between them survived 2011 and as things are going, it might still survive 2012, though it is still early to conclude that way.

Stephanie Okereke denies February/Paris wedding

Some of you probably read somewhere online that star actress Stephanie Okereke is getting married to Linus Idahosa in Paris in February. In a recent interview with YNaija, the actress said the report is not true.
