Mel Gibson being sued for $65,000 by stepmother

Mel Gibson is being sued by his stepmother. Teddy Joye Hicks Gibson - who married the actor's father Hutton Gibson in 2001 - claims Mel is responsible for their break-up after her spouse filed for divorce and kicked her out of their home in June. 

According to gossip website TMZ, Teddy, 78, is suing Mel for $65,000 to cover the legal bills from both her divorce and a court order forcing him to let her into the marital home.

Earlier this month she filed for a restraining order against Mel, alleging the Braveheart star had threatened her and tried to sabotage her marriage.

 In legal documents, Teddy said Mel and his sister Maura have a grudge against her because she doesn't approve of controversial medical treatments they have been urging her husband to undergo for his various illnesses.

 She also alleged they manipulated their ailing father into filing for a divorce, something she insists her devout-Catholic spouse wouldn't usually agree to. She also claimed 93-year-old Hutton recently penned her a love note saying: 'Our mutual love is permanent.'

'Mel Gibson is NOT the father of my unborn child

The woman who was said to be carrying Mel Gibson's unborn child after an alleged fling, has quashed the rumour once and for all.Laura Bellizzi has spoken to TMZ and stated clearly that: 'Mel Gibson is not the father of my child.'

Bellizzi, who is a mother-of-two and businesswoman, also conveyed through her representative that any alleged 'friends' telling gossip outlets that she's been privately identifying Gibson as her baby daddy are being 100 per cent dishonest in a misguided effort to seek five seconds of notoriety and fame.'

The statement explained that Laura is 'greatly dismayed at the rash of intrusive and irresponsible stories about her pregnancy.'

It reads: 'Mel Gibson is not the father of my child,' though Bellizzi admits she knows the actor.

She refuses to be drawn on the nature of the relationship, however, and goes no further than vociferously denying that the 55-year-old actor is responsible.

A representative for Gibson dismissed the reports as 'complete and utter rubbish, 100 per cent untrue,' last week.

Her father also refuted the reports, but still rumours circulated.

Friends alleged that Bellizzi does not want the news to go public yet is telling her friends 'that the Braveheart actor is the father of her unborn baby.'
