Mario Balotelli splashes out £750,000 on Milan love nest for him and pregnant girlfriend Raffaella Fico
Mario Balotelli is splashing out on a £750,000 love nest for him and his pregnant former girlfriend, it emerged today. The 22-year-old, who has rekindled his romance with Raffaella Fico, 24, after they had a dramatic doorstep bust up earlier this year, has commissioned an architect to design the new pad which will be his main base in Italy when on leave from Manchester City.

Raffaella, who is expecting a Christmas baby, is not thought to have seen the new apartment yet but has seen pictures of it on the internet and the two have discussed plans for furnishings with the new addition in mind.
The 250square metre apartment will be in Brescia, close to the foster home where his adoptive parents live as well as their children Giovanni, Corrado and Cristina and a few minutes walk from the city's university and football stadium.

It has spectacular views over Brescia as well as the nearby mountains and has floor to ceiling windows, several terraces, a marble kitchen and bathroom, with luxury fittings and has been designed by renowned Italian architect Elisa Bianchi from nearby Mantova.
Each room will also have a full length mirror and the bedroom will have a luxury round bed - while the bathroom also has a mini spa facility - one thing there won't be will be a book case as Balotelli, he is currently in Milan visiting family and friends, told Miss Bianchi he rarely reads.
Mario Balotelli's pregnant ex writes emotional open letter to him
After asking for a paternity test and saying there was no hope of them reconciling in a statement released last week, the Italian footballer's pregnant ex-girlfriend has penned down an emotional open letter to him. The letter was published in the current edition of Italian weekly magazine, Chi. Below is what she wrote:
This child I desire with all my heart and I want it because it is not a child that arrived by chance but instead it is the fruit of love between two people and you know well what I am talking about.
This letter was the only way I could speak to you.
I am happy to take the DNA test but I still have the text messages you sent me from Krakow (during Euro 2012) in which you said you were happy with the news I had given you.
Even if the events of life have separated us you will be a present and responsible father, as well as one being full of love for his child.
You know full well where to find me and I will always be ready to speak with you about the future of your child. Of our child.”
I’m writing this letter because I was left deeply hurt as a woman but also as a mother by what you said in your cold statement.
I find it unfair on your part that you wrote (if you indeed did write it) the insinuation that I was cashing in on the birth of our child.
Dear Mario, and allow me to call you that, I have not been paid for any interview in which I spoke highly of you and of the life together I wanted and where I confirmed rumours that I was pregnant – my tummy is getting bigger all the time and it’s not easy to hide.

Raffaella claimed she told Balotelli she was pregnant while he was in action for Italy and that he had replied: 'You have given me the best news in the world.'

The Ghanaian extended family of Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has joined persistent pleas from his biological parents that he should return to them.

Mario is a top striker whose transfer value has soared to £52million and though he was born to Ghanaian parents, Rose and Thomas Barwuah, on August 12, 1990, he was adopted by foster parents at age three because of medical reasons.
He was born in Palermo, a city in Southern Italy and was adopted by Italians.
There are two versions to the story of how Mario got adopted by Italian foster parents, the Balotellis.
Mario said in an interview that he was abandoned in a hospital by his biological parents, the Barwuahs.
They have denied this claim and insist that because they did not have enough money to foot his consistent medical bills due to his health conditions, the Balotellis offered to adopt Mario on a temporary basis but never brought him back.

He earns £100,000-a-week and is infamous for his eccentric behaviour.
But in a bizarre display of his bloated wealth, Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli has spent £55,000 in just eight weeks after checking into a luxury hotel – and all because he broke a window at his house.
The 21-year-old Italian has moved into the Presidential Suite at the Manchester Hilton hotel after a firework was let off in the bathroom at his £3 million rented home in October.
Firefighters were forced to tackle a blaze that wrecked the first floor bathroom and a room directly below at the property in Manchester’s stockbroker belt.
The star and his friends escaped unhurt after fleeing the fire at 1am, just 36 hours before Balotelli and his team-mates faced their most important game of the season – against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Bathroom towels were set on fire and the flames spread but Balotelli has insisted that he did not cause the blaze and that the offending firework was let off by his friends.
Balotelli now faces a £400,000 bill for the repairs as his landlord wants the footballer to pay for the damages himself rather than go through insurance.
However, the damage has still not been fixed and the multi-millionaire, who transferred to Manchester City from Inter Milan for £24 million in August 2010, is now staying in the hotel suite which costs £979 a night.
The Hilton website boasts that the Presidential suite is separated into four zones – ‘work, living, dining and relaxation - creating luxury environments for both work and play’.
It adds: ‘All areas, including two bedrooms and two bathrooms, are welcoming and stylish, and boast state-of-the-art features including a flat screen TV and a monsoon shower.
Floor-to-ceiling windows provide wonderful views and natural light throughout the spacious suite. Guest can also enjoy access to the hotel’s Executive Lounge.’
