'Please come on stage and kiss me again': Madonna invites Britney Spears

It was one of the most memorable performances of the decade. And now Madonna appears to be longing to recreate her infamous on-stage kiss with Britney Spears. 

The Material Girl invited the Toxic singer via Twitter to share another intimate smooch like the one at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. 

Britney had been congratulating Madonna on her new album MDNA which helped her set a new record for the most number one albums by a solo artist.

The younger star wrote: 'Love the new album - every single song is incredible. congrats girl!' Madge replied: 'Please come on stage and kiss me again. 

I miss you!!' to which Britney said: 'Tempting...' Madonna then asked her: 'Are you gonna make me work for this?' and she said: 

'Why of course!' It has also been revealed that Madonna threw cake in her manager's face at a surprise party he held for her yesterday. 

 The Girls Gone Wild singer was treated to the unannounced bash to celebrate the success of her new album and after the initial surprise her entourage looked on as she cut a piece of cake and smeared it into Guy Oseary's face.

Britney Spears 'rejects $10 million paycheck to join X-Factor team'

Britney Spears has rejected a $10 million offer to join the next season of The X Factor, according to reports.

Reports this week that the pop star was considering a $10 million offer to judge or host on next autumn's season of The X Factor are out of date, according to a knowledgeable individual in Spears' camp who spoke to source

The singer allegedly rejected that offer three weeks ago and is instead thinking about an offer to become a resident performer at a Las Vegas hotel like Celine Dion.

They say that Spears' camp want $20 million for her to do the job.

A spokeswoman for The X Factor refused to confirm or comment on the speculation.

TV executives at Fox have previously declined to comment on the matter when contacted by MailOnline, but insiders say the 30-year-old songstress is keen to join the hit show in theory.

There are two vacant spaces to fill alongside Simon Cowell and LA Reid after Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were fired.

Sources have told Us Weekly and Sunday World Brit has her eye on the job.

One insider close to newly-engaged Britney told Sunday World: 'The timing is perfect. Brit would love to connect with fans on a weekly basis and loves working on TV after several guest appearances on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother.'

Almost 10,000 fans have voted for Britney to appear as a judge on fansite breathheavy.com.

Back in 2008 Britney performed Womanizer on the British version of X Factor - but was heavily criticised for miming.

Fox has still not confirmed who is to replace Nicole and Paula.

While an appearance by Britney is looking more and more likely, Janet Jackson has declined a potential offer to sit beside Simon and LA Reed on the panel.

British judge, and Simon Cowell cohort, Louis Walsh also confirmed that the iconic star was in talks to join the team.

Britney Spears engaged for the third time now with Jason Trawick

30-year-old pop star Britney Spears gets engaged for the third time, now with boyfriend Jason Trawick.

Spears has been dating with her former agent Trawick since May, 2010.

Trawick reportedly proposed her at a private dinner at his 40th birthday.

He also gifted Spears a large three carat round stone and pave diamond ring, reported the Reuters.

Trawick confirmed the news in a text message to “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush. The message read, “Yes, we are engaged.” Spears also expressed her joy on her Twitter profile.

"OMG. Last night Jason surprised me with the one gift I've been waiting for. Can't wait to show you! SO SO SO excited!!!!", she tweeted.
