Chika Ike Joins Angelina Jolie, Omotola, Ini Edo As UN Ambassador

Nollywood actress, Chika Ike, who recently survived an auto crash, has been made a United Nations Ambassador of Peace.

According to confirmed information available to NEWSMEN, the Nancy Fancy fashion store owner was made a Peace ambassador by the
internation body based on her charity work in the society and the influence her films have had on the youths in the society.

Her ambassadorial status comes with the benefit of an international ID, customized number plate, access to attend UN conferences both home
and abroad, doing humanitarian services, an award certificate, among other benefits.

Making her mind known, the sultry actress said, "I will try hard to live up to the position i have been given and i will be dedicated to the cause."

Chika Ike has joined other actors who are already UN Peace ambassadors like Angelina Jolie, Omotola Jolade, Ini Edo, among others.

50cent Wants to Feed 1 Billion Africans

Rapper 50 cent is planning to feed 1 billion african kids in fight against hunger.He recently launched an energy drink called street king which has already sold out in many stores in the US . 

The high number of pre-orders of the beverage enabled 50 Cent to send the United Nations a check towards hunger programs. 

According to the drink's website, 50 cent travelled to Africa last year for the worldcup and his eyes were opened to rampant poverty and hunger across the continent. 

He said he is in talks with Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Usher and Drake about the initiative in order to achieve his aim.The website shows 2.5 Million kids have been fed already. 

The rapper said about his fundraising goals, “I’m really serious about it (hunger relief). So far I’ve been able to feed 2.5 million (kids), but I wanna feed a billion. When I said I’d do it in five years, I was being really conservative. 

I’ll do it a lot faster I said five years because that’s (the norm) when I create a business plan, but I think I can do it in half that time.” 50 cent has been releasing songs titled Streetking Energy and has also been tweeting alot about the plan.

Angelina Jolie Honored For 10 Years Of UN Work

The United Nations High Commissioner For Refugees recognized Angelina Jolie's decade of service as an ambassador and gave her the honor of presenting the Nansen Refugee Award at the Geneva event.

I want to express my goodwill tonight to UNHCR for appointing me their Goodwill Ambassador 10 years ago and for trusting me with the job.

" Jolie said While serving as an ambassador, Jolie has traveled to more than 20 countries to work with refugees and noted that opportunity affords her the chance to address a range of issues, from cancer, to abuse to children's issues.
