Todaysgist(TG) list of Top 10 Most Gifted Rappers - MI crowned

The 1o most gifted rappers list released by notjustok is causing lots of controversies, so we decided to take a critical look at why people didn't understand and approve the ratings. According to the popular site, the following criteria was used to rate rappers :skill, wordplay ability, delivery style, catchy and versatile flow, lyrical potency, punch line, rhyming not just to rhyme, and story telling. 

What the popular site failed to acknowledge is that talents is rated or graded  based on the general public  acceptance of such talent and not just the appreciation of a few rap experts. Therefore we add social acceptance to the lists. We will base our ratings on "Great, Good and Fair".

1. M.I  : Skill-Great, Delivery style -Great,  Catchy and Versatile flow- Great, Punch line-Great, lyrics- Great, Punch Line:-Great,story telling- Great , Social Acceptance- Great .

VERDICT:  Undisputed king of rap in Africa.He changed the game with hits after hits.He made rap look easy and gave other wanna be rappers the courage to pursue rap. He is now the King.

2. Olamide :Skill-Great, Delivery style -Great,  Catchy and Versatile flow- Great, Punch line-Great, Lyrics: Good, Punch Line: Great, Story telling: Great, Social Acceptance: Good.

VERDICT: Currently topping all the rap charts. Die hard workaholic but lets give him some time. Time will tell if he can dethrone M.I

3. Modenine :Skill-Great, Delivery style -Good,  Catchy and Versatile flow- Good, Punch line-Great,Lyrics: Great, PunchLine :Great,  Story telling: Great, Social Acceptance: fair

VERDICT: He is known as the father of rap in Africa and he deserves that but to be crowned the king of rap is the problem as public acceptance of his style of rap is very limited. His music is hardly ever played in social gatherings and hence it's acceptance is very low compared to M.I and Olamide.

4.Ice Prince :Skill-Good, Delivery style -Great,  Catchy and Versatile flow- Good, Punch line-Great,Lyrics: Good, Punch Line: Great, Story telling: Good, Social acceptance: Great

VERDICT: Current winner of BET Africa award showing that his talent has been taken note of in the international scene. His delivery is excellent but he gotta make his lyrical content more versatile.Can he top M.I as the king,, time will tell,,

4. Phyno  :Skill-Great, Delivery style -Great,  Catchy and Versatile flow- Good, Punch line-Great,Lyrics: Great, Punch Line: Great, Story telling: Great, Social Acceptance: good.

VERDICT: So hot right now. The only thing stopping him from being NO 1 is time, much too early to judge where his skill will take him to but he is undoubtedly a great rapper.
