Rihanna will take to the skies Unapologetically so on the just-announced "777 Tour," which will see her play seven shows in seven days in seven different countries.
The
(literally) globe-spanning trek kicks off on November 14, as Rih Rih
boards a Boeing 777 twinjet, along with an international press corps of
over 150 journalists (we suspect they'll be riding in coach) and a group
of fans from the Rihanna Navy. So far, the only announced date on the
tour will take place on the U.K. For more information on the tour, check
out Rihanna's official site.
It all leads up to the release of her new Unapologetic album — available in a variety of formats, including a $250 "executive platinum"
edition, which includes remixes, a "handwritten personal note," a
T-shirt, a custom-made View Master and host of other sundries — on
November 19.
Following her performance at the 2012 MTV Video Music
Awards, Rihanna announced the schedule for her 2013 2013 Diamonds World Tour, which kicks off on March 8 in Buffalo, New York.
"Diamonds," the first single off Unapologetic, also just made the leap to #5 on the Billboard
Hot 100, her 23rd top 10 hit. She'll also promote the album by making
her fourth appearance as the musical guest on "Saturday Night Live," set
for November 10.
