The Multiple Award-winning actress Omotola
Jalade Ekeinde was recently recognized with a special honorary award by
Beffta film Icon not only for her contribution to film industry in
Africa and Europe, but for her global contribution. Beffta (Black
Entertainment Film Fashion Television and Arts) awards is Europe's
biggest award ceremony celebrating achievements of black and ethnic
personalities in showbiz globally.
According to the founder of the organization, Pauline praised Omotola
for her great talent and commended her for being a mentor to the young
ones aspiring to get into the film industry.
Apart from being one of the most successful Nollywood actress, she
has appeared in over 300 hundred movies since she started her career as
an actress at tender age. And she is popularly known for playing lead
roles with films that smash the box office.
The multi award actress, Omotola, is one of Africa's movie mega stars
that is known globally. She has starred in many blockbusting films. She
is ambassadors to Amnesty International and World Food Programme. Her
Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme(OYEP) foundation has also helped
widows in Nigeria for a better living.
