Star actress, Mercy Johnson, last night (June 2) emerged as the winner of the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. at the inaugural Nollywood Movies Awards. The actress emerged from a strong field of nominees, which included Genevieve Nnaji, Omoni Oboli, Uche Jombo, and Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde. Mercy Johnson won the award for her role in the movie, Weeping Soul.
