It was always a far fetched match, and perhaps unsurprisingly, Beyoncé fans are speaking out against her friendship with Kim Kardashian.
Following pictures of the pair watching their men perform together in Birmingham on Friday night, fans of the Grammy award winner are unimpressed with her rubbing shoulders with the reality star.
'Beyoncé tries to stay out of the tabloids, while they're Kim's livelihood,' an insider told Radar Online. 'It's an odd pairing.'
Kim, 31, and Beyoncé, 30, were pictured by fans in the crowd watching the performance from VIP seats in the arena at the Watch The Throne concert.
They stood next to each other and chatted to members of their entourage as they listened to the performance.
They were then escorted down into the mosh pit by huge bodyguards to let loose on the dance floor.
Kim has so far not commented on her new friend, her silence being a departure from her usual 'overshare' style on Twitter.
A source told the New York Daily News that Kim has been playing her cards right in order to gain Beyoncé's trust. 'She’s hung with them a few times already, but she isn’t saying peep about them, a source said. 'She’s not tweeting or taking pictures with Beyoncé because she doesn’t want to seem desperate.'
According to reports, the ladies dined together before attending the show at the LG Arena on Friday night, at a meal arranged by Kanye.
