Popular music producer and singer Ayo Faboro better known as Dr. Frabz was robbed at gunpoint earlier today.
Frabz had attended last night’s weekly Industry Night event which was headlined by eLDee.
He tells us he was driving along with a couple of friends to upcoming rapper Flowsick’s video shoot at Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos when he was stopped at the Ketu turning after Oworonsoki by about seven armed men who robbed him of his Blackberry phone, iPod, Samsung phone, and wallet containing his driver’s license and other ID cards.
Frabz says the robbers however left them with the car. ‘We tried to get the police to follow us back there and the policemen just kept making U-turns like they already knew about it.
We talked to three different police dispatch vans all around the same proximity and all they did was ignore or give excuses that they couldn’t help us, in this Lagos o!’, Frabz wrote on his Facebook wall.
Frabz says he summoned courage to go back to meet the robbers but they just told him to ‘leave’. ‘They are just guys like myself struggling to survive, I don’t blame them sha, na our leaders cause am’, Frabz says.
He wasn’t harmed.
He also says the robbers were dressed like men of the armed forces. ‘They dressed as cops and soldiers like as if it was a check point, flashing torch lights so that victims would slow down, thinking it was the police, don’t ‘guck’ yourself o! Once beaten, twice shy’, he wrote
