To celebrate its successful launch into the Nigerian market, Citron, a new international beverage brand, recently staged an exclusive launch party in Lagos.
Attended by top rated celebrities and stakeholders in the business sector, the event featured the public unveiling of Super Eagles player Osaze Odemwingie and Nollywood star Genevieve Nnaji as Nigerian ambassadors of the brand. Both join the likes of music sensation Akon, who has been the international ambassador of Citron.
In her first official outing as the brand Ambassador of the company, Genevieve presented a toast to the successful launch of the brand, at the Corporate Elite Night held last Firday, at Eko Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. Partly sponsored by Citron, the evening featured musical performances by Black Street Boys, The Manhattans, Skyy Band, Midnight Star and others.
“We are very happy to be working with these great brand ambassadors that embody the lifestyle and energy of Cintron and can encourage people to drink and be loyal customers,” says Chelsea Brehm, Director of Business Development & Marketing for the brand.
Already, Citron is building strong relationships with both the local and international entertainment industries. For instance, Akon performed at the company’s three concerts in South Africa last year, alongside David Guetta, the award-winning, muti-talented music producer and DJ.
“We plan on having a Citron concert in Nigeria in the early months of next year, and also our goal is to bring out international artists, who have a strong desire to perform in Africa alongside the very gifted Nigerian musicians. We want to create an international music experience that crosses borders, unifies artists and fans, and showcases the freshest music talent in Nigeria.”
Citron offers a range of beverages, which consist of tropically inspired flavours; they include energy drink, green teas, iced teas, and fruit drink juices. These products are known for their great taste and flavors.
An embodiment of sophistication, trendy, premium taste, attitude, music and Fashion, the brand, which is based in the USA, is presently making inroad in Africa, having launched in South Africa and Nigeria, with Ghana, Egypt, Morocco, Kenya, and Angola as the next destination.
