MAY D MAY ENTER INTO TROUBLE WITH PSQAURE

Akinmayokun May D Awodumila might be spooling for another fresh war or may be telling the world that the battle between him and the sensational twin singer, P Square is finally over as he performed two of Paul and Peter Okoye’s songs at the Felabration 2012, New Afrika Shrine, Lagos.

Though some of the stakeholders in the industry said that, May D may or may not know what he has done what is termed plagiarism; but the tides are already heating up and soon, there may be just another messy war between him and Square Rcords barely two months after he was dropped by the label.

During his performance at the recently held Felabration 2012, at the New Afrika Shrine on Friday, October 19, the pop singer kicked off his performance with Psquare’s ‘Do as I do‘ which features Tiwa Savage and himself. He then goes on to perform his first single ‘Soundtrack‘ before following with Psquare’s ‘Chop my money‘. He didn’t stop there as he went quickly into his award winning single Soundtrack before diving headlong into Chop my Money. May D wrapped up his act with his hit single Ile Ijo. In all of P Square’s songs performed on this night, May D didn’t stick to his lines; rather, he took the entire songs from start to finish.

The crowd, however, didn’t seem to notice or perhaps were not bothered as they hollered and danced away the entire time. Square Records boss Jude Engees Okoye had in a statement issued in August this year announced that the label was severing ties with May D due to irreconcilable differences. A month later, May D launched own label Confam Entertainment. His single Soundtrack fetched him the ‘Best R&B Single’ award at The Headies this year.

May D may or may not know what he has done; but the tides are already heating up and soon, there may be just another messy war between him and Square records barely two months after he was dropped by the label.

At Felabration 2012 held recently at the New Afrika Shrine, Akinmayokun May D Awodumila was one of the selected artistes to perform and indeed he performed.

May D threw caution to the wind and stormed the stage with P Square’s Do as I do which featured Tiwa Savage and himself.

He didn’t stop there as he went quickly into his award winning single Soundtrack before diving headlong into Chop my Money. May D wrapped up his act with his hit single Ile Ijo.

GETTING MESSY!!! May D Set To Sue Psquare

May D, the up and coming hip hop artiste who was sacked from Square Records owned by Psquare may soon seek redress in a court of law.

Some weeks ago, a statement signed by Jude Okoye, the elder brother of the Psquare, Square Records said they have terminated their contract with May D and would no longer have anything to do with his career.

Close friends of May D told us that May D was not informed about the termination of his contract, rather, he read the news like every other person on entertainment blogs and newspapers.

The latest news is that May D is putting arrangement together so he can drag Psquare to court.

A punch newspaper reporter said the singer is already talking to his lawyers. As soon as that is done, an official statement would be made available to the media depending on the advice of his legal team.

Why Did Psquare Delete MayD's Hit Single "Ile Ijo" From Youtube

There has been a massive uproar by Mr. MayD's fans on social networks twitter and facebook with regards to the removal of Mayd's hit single "Ile Ijo" from youtube, many fans think Psquare are scared of the competition from their protege and as there is no contract on ground they have decided to remove the video - Although the fans clearly do not understand the legal point of view of the recent dismissal of MayD from square records. Whatever is the cause of this? The fans are not pleased with the move from Psquare and many have tagged it "very childish".
