Hugh Hefner's former fiancée is proving diamonds aren't always forever, at least when it comes to the diamond in her engagement ring.
Crystal Harris, who was set to wed the Playboy founder before calling off the wedding, is selling her diamond engagement ring.
Harris' platinum ring, given to her by Hefner, boasts a 3.39 carat circular-cut diamond.
It will be auctioned by Christie's in New York and, according to the listing, the ring is expected to sell somewhere in the range of $20,000-$30,000.
Sources close to Harris told TMZ.com the former Playboy model: "Couldn't bear to look at the ring anymore because it brought back bad memories."
Whether its for bad memories, or because it is better business for the pin-up model, only Krystal herself will know.
