DAYO D1 ADENEYE FINALLY OPENS UP ON THE ALLEGED BREAK UP WITH PARTNER KENNY KEKE OGUNGBE

Kenny Ogungbe & Dayo Adeneye (Ke-Ke & Dee 0ne) literally raised the Nigerian entertainment scene from the dead, and changed the face of entertainment in Nigeria.

They have indeed shown that show business requires managerial skills and entrepreneurial ability.

Having trained in the entertainment capital of the world, Hollywood, California, in the Untied States of America, they came back to Nigeria with in-depth knowledge of what they wanted to achieve.

Kennis Music revived the music industry and took it to a whole new level, putting Nigeria on the global music scene.

Riding the wave of the revolution started by Ray Power and AIT, the duo gave Nigerian music a new spin and threw up a new generation of stars like Eedris Abdulkareem,Tuface Idibia,Tony Tetuila,Eddy Remedy,Paul Play,Slam,KSB to mention a few.

This effectively set the stage for the explosion in the music scene and Nigeria’s dominance and Africa and inroads into America, UK, Europe and globally. It came as a shock when news broke some days back that the duo has parted ways.

Dayo D1 Adeneye one of the parties involved has finally summoned the courage to deny there is any rift going on.

In post on his facebbok page yesterday,he wrote; Friends, pls do not encourage those MORONS trying to spoil our good name/brand by helping them spread the false rumours.Keke and myself remain the best of friends and biz partners.

We have been friends since the days of garri n ewa agoyin and would never ever let money come between us.There is no iota of truth to the rubbish being circulated on the internet.God bless.

(KENNIS MUSIC)Kenny Ogungbe, Dayo Adeneye Break Up Over money

The godfathers of Nigeria’s hip hop music, and popular radio/ television personalities, Kenny Ogungbe and his partner, Dayo Adeneye of Primetime Entertainment have decided to go their separate ways, after over ten years of partnership, yemojanews can exclusively reveal.

The duo of Kenny and Dayo with their entertainment outfit revolutionalized the hip hop genre of music in this part or the world through their numerous radio and television programme in the early 1990s.

They popularized the first major hip-hop group in Nigeria called – Remedies. These groups actually changed the face of Nigeria’s hip hop music scene. According to a celebrity blog, the founders of Primetime Africa have parted ways based on disagreement over MTN contract renewal.

D1 is responsible for handling negations on behalf of the company and MTN’s decision to review their terms of contract with Primetime Africa did not go down well with him, hence his refusal to encourage his partner to sign the deal. Kenny Ogungbe’s brother, ID, was reported to have put pressure on his elder brother to go ahead and accept the new terms of contract with the telecoms giant without reverting back to his partner.

D1 was said to have heard about the renewal when a staff of MTN contacted him to ask why he was no longer coming with the team when the negotiation was going on. A furious D1 confronted Kenny who in turn told him ID advised him to go for the deal. Disappointed at the turn of event, D1 no longer attends anything that has to do with Primetime Entertainment and Kennis music.

Even, he has boycotted their popular Primetime show on Ray Power FM and Kenny keeps telling listeners D1 is on assignment. A close source said D1 has contacted a popular law firm in Lagos to act on his behalf regarding splitting the assets of the company as he is working on forming an independent TV show that will focus on interviewing celebrities.

KENNIS MUSIC ARTIST, ESSENCE ESCAPES KIDNAP

Nigerian singer and Kennis Music act Essence Okoro Uwale has just had her Nissan Ultima car stolen today Sunday 4, September, 2011. The news was broken by fellow Kennis Music act and long time friend Kenny Saint Brown via Twitter. ‘My girl Essence jst had her car stolen. A Silver/Gold Nissan Ultima. Reg: CD 674 AKD. Do keep an eye out for it n alert us if you see it‘.

The stolen car is Essence’s first and only car, bought recently after the singer had been ‘car-less’ for years; jumping cabs and motorcycles (okada) to honour engagements across Lagos. We’re told Essence went to pay her parents a visit at their home in Unity Estate, Egbeda and brought along brand new electronic items to surprise them with.

As she stepped out of the silver/gold Nissan Ultima car, three unidentified men approached her and one of them placed a gun to her head. She was pushed into the back seat of the car where she sat with one of the robbers while the other two sat in front. They quickly drove off and asked her if she had anyone who could pay for her ransom if she was kidnapped.

After a while, she was relieved of her money, jewelry, ATM cards and was then locked in an abandoned bus in the neighbourhood. The robbers sped off with the car and valuable items in it. Essence, at this point on the verge of tears, summoned enough courage to walk back to her parents home to place a call’. We could not immediately confirm if the matter has been reported to the Police. ‘It’s wicked and inhumane.

On a Sunday where she just wanted to visit her parents, it’s terrible‘, Essence’s friend and mentor Kenny Saint Brown told Nigerian Entertainment Today. Essence was nominated in the ‘Best Collabo‘ category at The Headies 2011 for her ‘Facebook love’ duet with label mate Jaywon.
