Since her proposed marriage plan with a certain dude who syndicated her n*ked pictures online few years ago, actress Uche Iwuji has maintained a low profile until last Sunday, when she came out of her shell to celebrate her birthday in grand style.
Currently based in London, Uche used to be one of the most-sought-after actresses in Nollywood before she was hit with controversy leading to her decision to relocate to London.
At her birthday bash, which had Mike Ezuruonye as the only attendant from Nollywood, the
Abia State born actress had reasons to debunk the rumour that she has dumped acting career, saying that “I’m still into acting.”
The actress said she is only observing a break from the movie scene, but promised to storm the country with a bang.
On what she is currently up to, the controversial actress who came into limelight after her roles in such films as “Passion and Pain”, “The Secretary”, “Fair Game”, and ‘Heart of Bitterness” said “I’m trying to re brand myself, which I’m currently working on.’”
She also refuted the rumour making the rounds that she is pregnant, stressing that “it’s not true.”
Uche however went underground in order to cool the heated controversies surrounding her acting career and possibly to re-brand. She is a graduate of the University of Lagos. The first movie in which she appeared was “Tears in Heaven.”
